Getting harder to get mid level parties?Follow

I am a 45DRK, and lately it has seemed to be getting harder and harder to get parties. I did a sea all and I found there were only 150 Level 41-50 users compaired to 300 61-70 level users.

Is the game getting older to where more and more people have 50+ jobs?

Also I don't have the time to sit 2 hours to wait for a 1 hour pt. Is this becoming the norm?

I'm impatient. The longest I will sit LFG is about 30min. I am also level 44. This results in some serious lack of xping lately.

Tanks are hard to find at our level range now. The last three parties I had were set and ready to go sans a tank.

Yesterday, we got a group together who had two blms and a whm. Needless to say, I got two levels with them because I'm sure we all were aware we wouldn't find a decent group again any time soon.

I think what you say is true...a lot of people are higher level now. We either have to work really hard to get statics or find people we know and like to group with...or wait for the lower levels to catch up and fill in the gaps.

... and people were looking at me strange when I said a max of 2-3 levels range in a party was a ridiculous system...

...behold as the server becomes entirely populated of solo beastmasters and black mage parties !

I do have the gear at hand so I can tank. Vit and Agi + items, heavy defense, and I strip off all my ACC+ and DEX+ gear and use GS...

Absorb Spells + Voke keep hate pretty good.

I guess I am proof a DRK can tank if they get more tank style gear. Just get ready for me to miss a good bit.

Yeah, they are going to need to fix this or they might loose some players. I am definately thinking of migrating games like WoW and/or CoH because I can XP with ease, even solo or just two man groups...

/sigh X 2...

Yeah, it's been wearing me out quite a bit. I leveled BST to 23, did BCNMs for a month, harvested, leveled a second character...all because I couldn't get a pt. I was level 41 for 6 months.

xstarsfallingx is me by the way...forgot I was on a different comp and logged into my old forum name before I made this one. ><

So yeah Hyla = xstarsfallingx = dork.

I think many of our our players have finally hit a plateau. Our server has matured and is no longer filled with new players. Many of the playeres have finally hit the range of 60+ and tons are capped at 75 now. Lots of the other jobs are being lvl as subs and often stop @ 37-40. Often times i see ppl leveling jobs beyond 40+ is when they already have a 75 job and have nothing else to do during the day but pick up a new job to cap all while waiting on an LS day event or something for their main.

I was talking to my friend the other day and was mentioning how FF is doomed for the failure unless SE does something creative (like they've been doin imo) about the lvl system.

All of this is oppionative and not factual =p but i think is makes a little sense.

Hence the exp available in ENM fights 9k exp a week or a lvl a week to 50ish isn't bad. Makes people better players to do prom runs to....puts the fear of something into them.

Also having watched a party of 18's (couple without sub jobs) die repeatedly in qufim (land worms) and spam for raises repeatedly I have to say the next generation isn't promising. I am about to quit following the last couple of weeks. When I say about I mean as soon as I give all my gear away. (sorry I'm on sylph)

i've seen a decent ammount of people lfg in the 53-56 lvl range lately, but all of them are melee, samurai, dragoons, dark knights, monks, thieves, but no mages, and very few tanks. its depressing.

One of those samurai is me. ;_; But, I've noticed a decent amount of mages on but no tanks anywhere. I'm not afraid to make my own party, but damn I'd pay millions for a few tanks to be LFP sometimes.

Thing is, usually when you're seeking, you'll find two or three of the same job seeking right along there with you. And when it comes to a job that is very common (Drks, Drgs, Thfs), yes, you will be waiting for hours on end.

I've been leveling my PLD lately, and I usually wait 1-2 hours for a party. Granted, that is no where near the amount of time DDs have to wait, it is still a large amount of time. Usually I don't have much time to play either, so by the time I do get invited, it's just too late.

When you are seeking do the following. Use /sea all inv <level range>. That will see how much of your job is seeking, and if there is a party setup ready to be made, make one. If that fails, its probably because there aren't enough people in your level range. Do a /sea all <level range>. I usually see around 20 people in my range (47 with my PLD) and only one party leader. Meaning, if you aren't in that party, you aren't going to be in one unless they need a replacement. Best thing to do in this situation is to wait it off by doing something else. You can farm or something, even if it is mind numbing. If nothing starts to show up in the LFG window, then you can at least pass it off as a farming day.

If you notice, there aren't as many people on the server unless it is prime time. A lot of people quit/left the game due to the lack of interest from it. With all the problems like gilsellers, and the lack of parties, people just quit. You'll just have to have a lot more patience til you get into a level range where there are more people seeking at once.

Hang in there, and remember, its just a game. If you are getting frustrated in waiting, go do something else. Waiting during those prime time spots might be the best option if you are deadset on leveling.
