Damn desperate people..Follow

Yes, i know this will get both good (i hope :P ) and bad responces....or...none at all..heh :P

I like to grow water ore, as most of you know, it takes a month to do it, 6 weeks if you grow cuttings to saplings, saplings to ore.

I kept a eye on the price of water ore for a little while before planting my saplings to make sure, they were the right ones to grow...and they were, they stayed right around 200K each the entire 4-5 weeks. So, the day comes, i harvest my plants..and i get 3 of them (happy happy joy joy)..I put all 3 in the AH in Jueno for 200K each, its costs me around 4K each to put em in the AH. 3 days go by, they dont sell, none do, their were 3 other ones ahead of me, which was fine.

I check today, their are now upwards of 15-20 of them now..and some sell, but for 170k each..And to be honest, that pisses me off just a wee bit. Im guessing some1 got a little desperate, and put them in cheaper for theirs to sell faster...>.< So, what that ment was, i was stuck taking them out of the Ah, and reselling them for 160-170k each, costing me another 10K to put em in the AH.. Sure, to some, or most..not a biggie but, i had that 600k spent, heh, that was my dark staff, fire staff, and a few other goodies...but due to the lowering in price, i am going to lose about 120k give or take....>.<

But, their is my rant, which i dont due often...>:)

Supply and Demand. Econ 101. It's not too hard to figure out. I've been buying all the black silk neckerchiefs. I sell them for 20-25k, but only when im the only person with them. Hang on to your items and sell only when there are none in stock and you will sell your items quick, and for a profit. I hate to mention one of the ways i've made gil, but its a great example. I've been collecting these for some time now, for about 6-10k each, and selling them for atleast double the gil back. I only sell them when im the only person on the AH though, that way if i have 7 of them, I sell all 7, starting at 25k then slowly going down to 20k. Just hang onto your stuff until there is a demand for them, then sell them, and then go swimming in the massive amounts of gil you will receive.


EDIT: Also, before you rate me down for raising the price on some items, remember that I buy them cheap. Why then, can't you do the same. If there is an item you want and you want to not pay extra cash for it, wait until there is a surplus of the item, the price will drop, then buy it at that price.
