Are BRD's not used for much more than exp/skill up pt's? Id love to do a Trial by... but it seems like BRD isn't fit for these types of battles.
Is this true, What am I going to be able to do when I finally get up there other than lvl and skil-up.

Bards are very usefull, if not critical in many BCNMs, but Im sure you know this already.

What are you talking about, dude?! BRD is usefull for HNMs, The Gods, and Ka'lanamont, But the one thing that pisses me off is, that people don't want BRDs in PM missions or some BCNMs. >< That really pisses me off ><
Well. I meant in Higher lvl activities, it seems like everytime I hear of mission requests (EG 5-1) BRD's are left out for some reason..

Bard is a very useful job. Preludes anybody? Etudes? Ballads? Looking cool in a mushroom hat? Can't think of any other job that can do that nearly as well as BRD can.
Actually BRD can be useful in PMs too as a buffer, i don't think our brd was landing many debuffs not really sure. But essentially the set up was BRD, SMN, WHM, NIN, RNG, RDM
As to "Trial by...." don't know what that means but if you mean the Avatar Prime fights actaully you are extremely useful.
As far as i understand BRDs are perfered for the fact you can Ballad I/II in 10sec~ a whole Mage PT in either HNMs, Gods, or Dynamis

Useful? I survived Howling Moon with a slight scratch. So yea I'd say bards are *extremely* useful.

Yes, I got done with Promy's with my bard. The can enfeeble, cure and so on.
