Wow after reading Hips thread I can honestly say that some people take this GAME way too seriously.
NOTE: I am not trying to continue the thread just stating my opinion.

I am not surprised, I mean is a huge time sink and after spending so much time to realize it was a waste sucks. I mean people have commited suicide over MMOs. Some people including myself need to click on the quote on my signature.

as magvius stated, I guess ppl should pull theirself back abit, take a deep breath and thinking with their logic "This is a game, not even can harm my life"

MMO meant to be made for fun, come on people dont lead your emotion to a deeper unsolved problem, lets have fun playing FFXI.

But still, rejection can be hard to take no matter the reasons. Especially in an MMO where most events are group oriented. Enough rejection/refusal can take it's toll, it gets harder to just let it roll off your back.

hey mag. ^^ How did the VE camping go?

Anyways, I totally agree. People take this game way too seriously. Whenever anyone ever gives me flack ingame(which is very few) I'll give em my 2 cents and blist them. Simple as that. I don't ever have to associate with them if I choose not to.

Yes, people do take the game a bit seriously.. Alot of people have sent me PMs saying just that, and i have gotten a few tells in game saying just that..

Bottom line is, I started the thread, and i ended it.. And i dont remember calling anybody childish names, or flaming anybody.. But sheesh, there sure was alot of it going on.. Its just really sad that some people let this game control them to the point of being complete mean heads...

oh well, you know what i say about it..

SMOKE A DOOBIE..

its funny, people talk about reputation, the only thing people seemed to have to say about mine was that i bought a whole bunch of astral rings, and sold them for a profit.. Sure, i can see where it might upset people when i tried to jack up the prices at the AH.. i will admit, that was sorta dirty move, but i bit me in the ***, and i handled it with class...

But yes Magvius, people do take this game a bit to seriously, and if i really had such a bad rep, i wouldnt be getting all the /tell and PMs here on allakhazam about how they have nothing but respect for me..
Peace.

Oh, and for the record, i even posted an apology on the website of the LS that rejected me...

Some people do take the game too seriously BUT ... this (and i mean any MMORPG) is not just a game. Do you dedicated 10+ hours a week to mortal kombat or mario brothers for months/years on end?

This game is a hobby plain and simple and i think those of us that enjoy the game should be allowed to take it seruiously because whats the point of dedicating that much time and effort if you can't?

Just because you take the game seriously does not make it less fun, it just means you are a bit more into it and personally involved than a casual gamer.

I play lots of FPS' and death is common place, do i give a ****? no i spam my fire button to respawn quickly and exact revenge on my assailant.

Now in FFXI if i die its a big deal, it means i lost a bunch of XP and depending on the situation could be out alot of time and effort.

I was disapointed to see alot of the responses to hips thread, when all he asked was an opinion of himself.

what I meant was if someone pissing you off, just let it go away, true this game is a group player, just pick people whoever you think fit with you, if you dont get along with someone just let it be and not to make argument way too long, just wasting your time.

if you found someone that not fit in your shoes, there must be someone that will be your buddy in the game. As simple like that.

Woot rate downs for everyone!! Karma trolls are everywhere, they hide in your closet, just like the evil monkey in mine.

Yes Hip, extra postage to Canada, call your friendly neighbourhood Post Office, they'll be happy to help.

I just wanna know if I got rated-down as a blanket rate-down for anyone posting here or for calling Hip a douche?

Cuz he is... he forgot to buy stamps... tool... :)

I think I am going to stop posting here, is messing with my sanity. There are too many uptight motherfuckers on the forums, and I am a much nicer guy in RL and in game. I been flaming way too many people and usually I keep shit to myself. People sticking up for people that dont deserve it (this has nothing to do with Hip, rather someone recruiting for an "HNM LS" on the forums) and others just bullshiting about things they know nothing about. Ill see everyone later.

I am a nice guy and my posts dont reflect it, so I will stop now and count my blessings, later all and goodluck. I might be here tomorrow, but from where I am standing the road looks a lot clearer than the road I am leaving.

Yeah, its a shame, i have seen a few people leave now because of the aggressive Flaming, and Trolling in these forums..

You know me, i dont mind the drama, i can just let it bounce right off of me, but i hear you loud and clear on the whole uptight motherfu[Black][/Black]cker thing..

but oh well, we cant do a thing, they will be here forever to Troll and camp.. I just dont even care about the stupid Karma thing anymore.. it really is just a bunch of brown nosed people here most of the time..

Its very entertaining to say the least.. its just sad the people leave becuase of it.. Wintaru left as result to the old post.. i think that sucks.. but i have a feeling he will come around..

This is just something i like to do while i am at work.. it makes the day pass much faster, watching all of the little minions cry and moan.. and flame and troll.. ohh well..

Time for lunch.

I don't think you're a bad guy dood, after I made that post about me not being around much anymore and saw your reply I've been meaning to send you a /tell and talk. I just haven't been playing nor reading these boards much anymore anyways.

And you're dead on about some of the posters here, especially some of the yellows and reds (aka scholars and sages), god forbid you post something they don't like in one of their threads and crash their baggage trains. When I'm bored at work I have been reading up on Organic Chemistry Synthesis and Lifter Experiments rather then reading about FFXI on alla.

Anyways, GL finding a HNM LS if you really want one. Camping spawns does not sound like any fun to me.

Heh yeah its really sad to see all the drama etc making people decide to leave these forums....maybe we should try to get all the "kewl" people back and take this ***** over^^ Down with the Drama-Queens!

ah well, I try to keep my nose out of it, and stick to having fun. Hell to contradict Tset's post, I consider myself more than the average gamer. I'm in this game alot, probably more than my own good, but I never take anything seriously, even death at level 60+ eating a HP is nothing to fret for me, (dosent mean I go die on purpose) most likely because I was having fun doing it.

So, anyway to the nice posters on Bismarck: Please dont let this forum die out, for many will miss it greatly...atleast I'd like to think so.

Preach Mag...preach!! Hmm I'm not sure though but think someone rated a brutha's a@# down for saying that in Hip's thread. Ah oh well. I mean grab a fishing rod and go have fun and chill out.I spent a good hour chilling with some fools while fishing today and that was mad fun.

Oh, and Hip, do yourself a favor and level your goldsmithing. See, Clothcraft isn't as big as goldsmithing, but you can probably make a hell of a lot more money then I can Clothcrafting if you stick to your gold. And I am sitting on around 6 million and I haven't played played in about 2 weeks. I just log on for an hour craft a bunch of XXXXXX +1 and YYY +1 sell them for a mega profit and cash in on it lol. Do yourself a favor, check what you can +1 easily and then check the price of those items. Also, check the things you can +1 easily if you gain 10-20 levels in your craft and then go get those levels.

You'd probably end up with more money then me cause of the craft you chose.

EDIT: Also, when you're not tampering with markets you don't get noticed as much, even if you're gouging w/ your prices :D

yeah, alot of people have been telling me to level my damn goldsmithing.. I guess i could tap into the funds and level it up some, but when i get to platinum, i am definatly going to be growing my own platinum nuggets to use.. that **** is just tooo expensive..

Its funny, people are all telling you to let it die and stuff, but what were you doing wrong? You werent doing anything wrong.. Just haveing a friendly conversation about crafting... hmmm..

Well, i think i might take you up on the offer, and level my Goldsmithing again, its been level 52 for what... 8 months now? i guess i could take a break from all of the Level grinding i have been doing...

Thanks for giving me my second wind.. Oh, and i do know all the things i can +1 and there arent many at level 52 that i can do on a regular basis.. Aight man, peace.
