70 DRK, time to fight Maat!
On my first 3 attempts I was nervous and got killed. I also went for too high a delay meds, like Xpotions and Hipots+2
So I decided it was time calm down and think.
With the help of my good friend Vycious (Teh best DRG on Bismarck) I added 5 lvls to my Evasion and got another test.
I went in wearing Carapace Rings for -12 accuracy. I did the Absorb Vit, Bio 2 and then WS, Icarus Wing, WS....Both were Spinning Slash. Then he did the 2hr, I unlocked and ran the outside edge of the room. He whiffed soo bad that he gave up and started doing Bio 2! I turned did my 2 hr and when my TP was up I hit him with a 3rd WS! By this time I was using my Elixirs. I kept slamming him with my Balmung's Dispel activating, removing his DEX, INT, and ROFL....CHR boosts from his absorb spell casting! I RAN out of HiPots but stayed Calm. I looked up and saw I had 108 TP. He started casting stone 2 on me with my HP at 78, so I hit the SS macro and landed the 4th WS and removed all of his HP and he gave in! Victory was mine and he never even got enough TP for his WS!
Tips for all jobs attempting this:
Stay Calm and focased and turn off the freaky battle music.
Research in and out.

Blink Band
15 HiPots
Seafood Stew
Vile Elixir and a +1 too
Sleeping Potions
Opo Opo Necklace
Depending on Job wear Stumbling sandals in or Carapace Rings!

I had enough TP for one more Swift Blade, and a icarus Wing, but I ran outta time.
Congratulations, However..Maat is your clone. No matter how many stat netagations you where he has equal to your base stats, for example.

I tried Maat last Thursday. It's hard not to be nervous when you're going into a fight knowing there's a high possibility that you're going to have your bum handed to you by an old man.

Just beat him and Blink Band is your best friend, YAY.

Yeah that blink band rocks, and is a pain in the *** to get, mine had 48/50 uses left and I bought it for 35,000g. I am trying to get rid of mine for 30,000g with 46/50 uses. Yes even the JP know it rocks, thats who I bought it from a JP Ranger. I hope Hellriser beat Maat, I was trying to sell him my blink band but he said he didnt need it. /sigh, I hope he won.
