Kingdom Aketon anyone?Follow

That could be the case ... but perhaps he's a Bastok resident and spends alot of time doing cooking. The movement speed from the aketon would be a huge benefit when running from the guild the the AH.

I sold my Aketon for 650k ... I had it in bazaar just to see if anyone would buy and a fisherman did. However, I'm busy hoarding more conquest points to get another, because I do miss the quicker runs around Windy. ^^;

Dur yeah, you're right. Federation Aketon for Windy. *slaps forehead* Regardless, I think my point still stands that a crafter or fisherman can make great use of an Aketon other than "impressing" others.

Imo Aketons aren't really a status symbol anymore, Rank 10 isn't nearly as difficult as some other achievements in the game (i.e. Divine Might, Kirin, Fenrir, some CoP missions). Someone with enough patience to set up a group and recruit enough "high levels" to carry them through the missions.

I'm not trying to take away the satisfaction of rank 10 from anyone though. I know oftentimes a group of friends will go into the fight under the recommended level and pull off an amazing victory. The "10" next to the name could be the result of great strategy and effort, or the result of InfamousShouting-in-JeunoB.

Niji has a point, I'm sure some people are willing to pay gil (or real currency) for equips that they think will impress others. But I won't assume either way when I see someone sporting that sharp jacket. =)
