Loophole Regarding Promy XDFollow

So today I was inside Promyvion-Dem farming for anima with my buddy Uviteru. He went in as 35blm and I went in as 30nin. We were killing the weepers and the wanderers, and they were giving like 20-80 exp. Technically, outside of promy, that would have been a 5lv gap. He gained lv36 in there off of EP mobs.

Here's my point. On the third floor, a pt of lv thirties can exp off the IT mobs for some pretty good exp with literally no compitition. Why is this such a big deal? Because as long as your pt is past lv 30 and has lv 30 gear, you have a lv gap of 0 in your pt, regardless of the REAL lv gap. That means optimum experience at all times, and all exp goes to whatever lv you are uncapped. Imagine seeing something like this in your log:

Soandso defeats the Weeper.
You gain 196exp.
Soandso gains level 38!
You gain level 32!

Yes, that means a pt with a lv gap of ANYTHING will still get decent exp in there.

Imagine a static of random lv people. A 41whm, 30nin, 36thf, 33rdm, 44blm, 38rng could all exp together given they had lv30 gear and CoP. How rockin' would that be? XD

So, am I just crazy, or would this be a good idea?

Thats not a loophole. Anyone higher then the cap will gain exp, but it will be half of what a level 30 would get.

Well that ruins my fun. My nin is actually lv 30, so that explains why exp was still good for me on the third floor, right?

And remember that all skill levels are capped for a level 30. ;x

old news. Myself and several people tried that with our lvl 50-61 jobs to discover that our exp was capped at 80 for killing IT's. we got no exp chains for that matter. I had the same idea you are having now, myself and the other melee's actually bought full set of Shade Equip to exp in. It was good fun still.

Hmm.. well... you could take your subs from 30-37 no? without having to buy new gear for those lvls. I say subs, because you don't level your subs past 37 anyway, so the capped skill wouldn't matter.

Unless you're me and plan on taking your sub to 75 as well. But it could be fun for others.

If your party members are above level 30, and you are level 30 tho, you will receive experience points as if you were a level 30. We were up in Riverne doing level 40 stuff for 2-5. The people who were actually level 40 were getting level 40 xp, while those who were above it were getting the reduced xp.

What about a Higher capped area like the Aqueducts?

It's all the same. Whatever the level cap is, you will get the regular experience points for your level up until your level = level cap level. Once you exceed it (for Acqueducts, L41) then the level cap rule takes affect and will start to effect your experience. I believe the formulas were posted at the time of CoP release when they introduced the concept of getting xp in level capped areas.
