First off, no I am not quitting.
I am, however, taking a break. I figure till at least the end of the month.
I am just not having fun anymore, everything about the game is starting to drive me mental. So time to pack it up for a bit.
Think I'll go buy GTA:SA tonight....

yea i did the same thing around christmas time, took a couple weeks off and just didnt touch the game. Came back in early january and started having fun again.
Someone phrased it this way earlier:
FFXI is like crack, you can stop for a while but all it takes is 1 good party to get you hooked again.

I remember when we did your AF, running around Davoi beating up on Orcs and smacking that pansy of an Elvaan that hides behind that tree was a ton of fun. We should go back just to raise some Orc hell. ^^

It's a fun game. About 5 times as big as Vice City. Definately go pick it up, its a nice change of pace to playing FFXI.

Welcome to retirement! It's great, Althought like Tse said, Its like crack and sometimes i wake up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night after I have a 'withdrawl' dream. I think you have the right idea. I also went out and bought GTA:SA and it has done a nice job of keeping me busy when my thumbs are twiching. Something cool i found out i could do a few days ago: I can fly a leer jet! Now THAT was fun.
GTA:SA really didn't do anything for me. It was fun at first, but I dunno...just couldn't seem to get into it. The soundtrack reminded me of high school though, and that was a lot of fun. Anyways, I traded my copy in on Tuesday for Xenosaga 2, but if I ever get a jones to try it out again, my brother has a copy, so it's all good.

O.O Xenosaga II is out already, I thought it's release was in March? Gah taking a break is gonna get expensive I can feel it. So many other games to play lol.

Hey i heard you were thinking of taking a break. Can't say i blame you i had to take one too with my knight at 48, but once i changed jobs and lvled for a while i got the flow back, and i have loved pld ever since. Maybe you can try this see if it works out for you. Your still the best red mage a pld could have, hopefully your break isnt to long.

Nah Garan, it came out on Tuesday, and supposedly there's a stat boost at the start of the game if you still have your old Xenosaga endgame save on your memory card.
I played the game for about 10 hours or so already but didn't have my memory card down at school. So, when I get back down there on Tuesday, I'll start over, with the data from the end of Xenosaga helping me out a bit. ^^
