You guys seeing alot of orz in FFXI chat, even you can see my signature below.
It's actually an Asian Culture that has been popularly spread out in some asian countries.
An example orz usage in LS chat:
<orzguy> guys, my invisible went out when I saw that treasure chest sitting on the corner of the room in <Castle Oztroja>
<orzguy> I got aggro and it created 5 yagudos link on me, i got no one around raising me , no choice I have to hp orz

yeah in american slang term can be sounds as "I got pwned by X factor(insert the situation that happened here)" but mostly in funny way, well my explanation is not as good as what orz mean actually.
Well orz can be used in serious situation or funny situation (i think so im not sure, pls check on the web) but now seems that orz is being used in some funny co-incidental wrong doing or cause of action by someone, not a fatal mistake tho, but mostly its a funny things happened, but can be used in sad moment as well.
Looking at the link i gave orz is actually is something funny situation as you can read that on that chinese-mandarin song lyrics (i'm asian but not chinese so i dont understand the language when i hear the music):
You say I'm a nice guy, what you can say is sorry.
You say I'm a nice guy, you decide my destiny.
You say I'm a nice guy, I feel despair and kneel.
You say I'm a nice guy, what I can do is orz!
see that person likes this cute girl, he thinks he's a nice person that expecting this girl want to be with him, but since this girl seems got no interest on him, he felt despair and rejected, there is no hope for him that makes him down on his knee, crying desperately in orz position.
I think this a better explanation on how orz applied. Please correct me if im wrong to whoever you guys can give exact explanation for orz.

yeah if u are in really desperate situation or feel failed lol
say when u are zoning to an area from other area and u are in hurry but u didnt know where u walk toward to, and by any dumb chance u zone back to previous zone then you tell this to your party friend or LS friend they might laugh at you and you feel like orz~ (since u are a mithra lol). just like u say "orz~ i got zoned back to area before this".
