Scorpion harness RaffleFollow

#1 Feb 06 2005 at 6:29 PM Rating: Sub-Default
OKay,

Now that i got your attention, I was reading Hiptarus Post for the astral ring, and I thought "wow, with everyone buying numbers, he's made more than the ring is worth and gets much more outta it". So i was thinking, "If someone raffled a Scorpion Harness, Oh man people would flock to buy tickets" I mean really, if you raffled the harness off, you could charge 20k a ticket and people would pay, cause figure, you pay 100k worth of tickets, to win a 7mil item. Anyoen else think this up?

I think most people knew that.

This is one idea, however, that can't be condoned very easily, if at all. He's not gouging for once, and it's just a method used by people for fundraisers (which have the sole purpose of raising money). This was a good idea for him, and one that doesn't leave a bad taste your mouth like the monopoly attempt.

I agree with Hip. People can say whatever they want about Hip, but I know him as a good personal friend, and his intentions were good, as well as unique. The Astral Ring Raffle brought a lot of people together into Hip's LS, and we had a blast at the count-down party to see who won the ring. Fireworks were blown up, people killed themselves as lvl 1 characters with poison potions, everyone showed off their 2-hour abilities. It was awesome! Perhaps Zeeromus you should come up with another way of giving away this Scorpion Harness besides just doing a raffle. If everyone does a raffle, what fun will that be?

Hey hey hey, I thought it was a count down to everyone popping a poison potion. /grin

Yeah, it was fun. People from here I had never met, fun fireworks, lots of humor. Even dieing had its amusing moments. And I realized that there's side-benefits to being dead in town.

To be honest, if someone else chooses to do a raffle besides (I'm sorry forget the name) they have a right to.
Its like saying i can be the only one to have (lets say) a Scorpion harness. Thats just dumb.
Yea granted it was the other persons idea but you cant say it was my idea and no one else is allowed to do it.

The point is that Hip just finished a raffle, and all the sudden someone else conducting a raffle right after Hip's is a little redundant. Of course he can have a raffle if he likes, but try to make it a little different.
