I've been reading just about every post since January 3rd 2005 and everyday i click on Server Forums and the one thing i notice is that on Allakhazam the server Bismarck hands down has the most posts and as i read the posts and it just seems to me that nobody is having fun anymore and everyone is out for blood...I personally play the game to have fun and get away from the real world(hints the name Final Fantasy) and when u take a game so seriously that all u ever do is get on and ***** about this and that it's sad...
Yes i know that some things do need to be said maybe we do need to know who is a bad player and who isn't(we all have our days)... maybe we need to know that the gil sellers are back on the server(takes 2 to tango)... maybe we need to know that just because one person in the LS did something that the whole LS is bad... or most of the LS did something bad and so that person that didn't do anything but is in the same LS gets bashed too...people jump to conclusions way to fast and jump on the bandwagon until the wheels fall off... Life's a ***** and sometimes u just gotta slap it(famous quote from my dad)...
Now most of u won't like this post that's fine everyone is entiled to their own opinion i just don't get why so many people degrade other people so fast and i finally wanted to say(type)something about it... Have fun people life is to short to get upset over things that u can't change... yeah this person or ls or whatever screwed you over well now u are wiser and stronger take it and move on there is nothing u can do about it now... posting stuff on here(contradicting myself) isn't really going to solve anything except **** people off even more then they already are so please take a moment to stop and look at the senary... the sun is going to come up no matter what so u mite as well enjoy it.. Example: partyin with other people(i have meet so truly amazing people on here)that what this game is all about is Partyin it up(defitintion of Party-A social gathering especially for pleasure or amusement)... enjoy helpin someone who has helped you... play the game for others not just for yourself and when u do that u will have fun... Thank people when they help you and give help even when it's not in your schedule...
Put yourself in someone else's shoe's for a day and know all 3 sides to the story... My point is have fun people and enjoy what you do while you do it... Now rate me down and post how big of a dushbag i am i'll read it and laugh and go on about my day but after you are done with that Put down what u Truly love about this game that makes you play it days on end and before u now it you've logged 40 days + (you know what i'm talking about)
NOTICE:I wana hear the positive things u like about the game b/c that's what i think this Server Forum is missing... I love the Feburary Friendship Gathering and when someone posts a Thank You and i know there are more.. Now that i have waisted a good 5 minutes of your time reading this u mite as well post the thing u love about FFXI after all Valentines's Day is about 2 weeks away(yes i know V-day is for relationships but i thought it was ironic)...Have a great day b/c you know i will :) and just so u know the thing i love the most about this game is the fact that people always help me even when i don't ask...and i return the favor

You know what I like about this game, I come home from work and get lost in a whole different world. All the stress and BS that the army puts in my life gets left at the door once I pick up my controller and put my key board on my lap. Its fun because I don't take it that seriously, its not like I'm not going to get paid because I didn't make Level 42 last week, I get paid regardless, this is my way of escaping reality....
The past 3 months have just been more and more and more fun. Things might get a little annoying at times but I would quit in a heartbeat if things get out of hand. Honestly, I wouldn't trade this game for anything (though this too, could change!) ^_^
I might trade it for pocky.

So you're going to judge the entire server of Bismarck by a few posts on a bulletin board? Niiice.
I love my LS, and log on to do stuff with them; without a good group this game is nothing. With a good group it's an incredible social experience. I'm 25 and come from perhaps the first generation where people reasonably and frequently have fully-fledged friendships with people they potentially will never actually meet. I sometimes wonder how this will change the world long-term and whether it's entirely healthy, but it's certainly interesting to be a part of. I could never quit so long as my shell is here and strong.
Anyways that's my indirect answer to your question, if there was one, my eyes glazed over after the second or third place a paragraph break should have been placed. :p

Hey I just noticed something(its all in good fun Aerwen :p)

Well, your over all point is a good one. It's the main reason I don't post terribly much.
My favorite part of the game is hard to decide. I like leveling, but not so much for the leveling itself. I like when I get in a group with 5 people I can joke around with. I used to put a bunch of auto translated stuff and "Japanese/English PT OK" in my search comment. Not anymore! I prefer english PTs now, because while I often get nice and painless exp with japanese parties, it's difficult to talk with them and not as fun.
Sure, I don't always get quite as good exp with an english party (though the best party I can remember was an all english party in crawlers nest) I usually have a lot more fun. Hell, I even died yesterday to a DC because I wanted to see if the WHM and the tank could kill it before I got Freeze off. I neglected to tell them this plan though, so I ended up dying. Oh well, we were waiting for a replacement anyway, so no exp time lost, and I found it amusing. As long as I don't delevel and lose use of equipment or spells, I'm usually fine with dying XD
The other part I like about leveling is that it makes it easier to explore new areas. I love being able to check out new (to me that is) zones. When I hit 50, I ran around to check out Movalpolis, Attohwa Chasm, Bibiki Bay and Zitah. So far I really like Zitah, the music and atmosphere is just awesome there. I look foward to going there in full AF and taking out a Golem :D
