Wedding cost depends on locations/amount of attendees.

In the area where you purchase a new content ID if I remember is where you take care of it.

$70k I believe for the outfit.

But I can tell you, I had tried to book one for months, even months in advance with 100% availablility, always turned down -.-

Isn't that just like this game? Put in something new, set up a bunch of hype about it, then make it impossible to get. lol

When I first saw the idea of weddings, I did a lil' bit of background research on it, and came up with a few things that might be of interest:

Bride and Groom must both have at least one job at level 20 or above.

The characters to be wed must be of different genders.

Anywhere from three to thirty-six people, including the bride and groom, and chaperone, can attend the ceremony.

And there's a variety of places in each of the three cities (and one in Jueno) to get married in.

Small ceremony (3-10 people) 20000 gil
Medium ceremony (11-18) 30000 gil
Large ceremony (19-36) 80000 gil
Jeuno (20 people) 80000 gil

Rings have two choices of engraving formats.

Wedding outfit is available for a fee. The whole wedding dress set costs 50000 gil. You get:

head: bridal corsage
body: wedding dress
legs: wedding hose
feet: wedding boots

The wedding officator is a GM, but not your normal GMs. It is a special one, whose only purpose is to DO weddings.

To dispel the rumors: I have talked to two married couples (both on Lakshmi) and they have told me that NO, you do NOT get to share a mog house, and that NO, the rings do not have any hidden effects.

Hope that helps!

You can request any area to have a wedding, and if its not too busy an area, you can get it.

Special requests, however, cost beaucoup. Well over $100k regardless of how big your wedding party is.

It's difficult to accomplish because Square is trying to weed out the folk who are likely to wish they hadn't gotten married 2 months later. Doing all the divorces would suck. Smiley: tongue

My question is: Why get married at all? Tickling Maat would be a quicker, cleaner, and less costly death.

Thanks for all the information guys, one more question though. Could you tell me who I am supposed to talk to in the cities to try and get a day set up? and where I get the dress, and the rings. I was under the impression that I had to buy them at the AH.. considering the opaline dress is now almost 400k in Jeuno.. I think I like the 50k thing better. Thanks again guys..

Oh and Izland.. yes I am ^.^

400k? Oi I should have waited >.>

Anywho, it's not an NPC. You have to go through Playonline to do it, not in game.

If I remember, it's the screen right before you get to the server and choose your char. The menu where Content ID is on.

/think

I can't remember the choices, dammit! >.< I'll go in tonight to check (if someone else doesn't remember before I can.)
