Japanese PT in Crawler's Nest...24/7 <__<Follow

I do a lot of roaming around the Crawler's Nest, with the nice drops from lizards, treasure chests, and notorious monster crawler's (which pop from giving a ??? 1 rolanberry or aged rolanberry). I've been in and out of there since level 50 with my BST, and I have died A LOT there. But onto my point...

For as long as I can remember, there was always a PT of high level japanese players camping the Guardian Crawler further into the Nest, in the room with the Labyrinth Lizards. I used to buy stacks of rolanberrys, and they would literally ALWAYS be there. There was a level 75 paladin that would show up from time to time, but that party was mostly there, always. It's been a few months since I have been back there with my BST, and I returned tonight with 3 stack of rolanberries, and the exact same party is there. I tried to ask polite using the translator if I could have the NM for 30-60 minutes, and none of the four responded. All four just completely ignored me. I was suspicious that they might be on some kind of script, so I decided F-it after an hour or so of killing lizards, and I used a macro to trade the ??? a rolanberry. It worked after a few tries, at which point the person from the other PT who was also trying to trade the ??? a rolanberry just followed me as I brought the NM and my pet to a safe place. He didn't say anything, nor did any of the four players. I figured it was OK so I used up all my rolanberries, but it took me a LONG time.

Anyway, I must have been through the Crawler's Nest for a good 5 hours last night, and they were there when I left. They're names, Kiikii, Aooaoo, Xoox, and some other name with a similar design to one of those names (i.e. googoo), just can't remember it. Has anyone seen these guys or got them to talk? I hate being rude to them by sneaking in a rolanberry...but seriously, how much money can they make doing that at their level?

They're bots. Hardly anyone comes there which is why they get away with it. Can usually double the amount of gil you put in for the berries or even more.

Probably was me. I was there over the weekend and they were still there.

If you really want someone to be pissed off at then go to the Spook and look for the BLM that likes to aggro a bat and then call for help on it around the spawn time for the spook. Talk about a cheap way to claim it.

Ahhh...Mamaci, I think, is the name. There's some posts about him on the players to watch out for thread.

I'm familiar with those guys. When I was leveling my ranger in CN about two months ago, we "harrassed" Aoo, asking him to talk, etc. He sent us pre-recorded /tells in horrible english, saying he was from taiwan. Ironically, his WHM who does the trading into the bowl for him cured us during a battle. Seems like they have players on them at SOME points during the day.

If he's still there after all this time...man. Anyone see his name on auction histories? I think I looked once, but didn't find anything.

They are gill sellers. Word of warning, they will train you. While trying to skillup my weapons, I have seen them train players looking for coffers/treasure chests, since they themselves have now started to camp those also.

We called them "The Vowels" due to their names when we Partied there :)

They'd have their mages sitting in our camp so we'd pull Crawler Hunters and try to get them to spam their nasty AOE to kill the mages, annoyed them for sure :)

I've never had any problems with them. Me and the aoooaooo guy traded emotes back and forth a few times. Asked him what he was doing and just said he was making gil. Very limited english. He even helped kill a train of crawlers a couple times.

I am pretty sure they are chinese. usually get random tells in chinese from them whenever i xp bst near them, or go to the other gaurdian crawler spawn. ya they are gil farmers, i remember when they first started camping CN;
I used to spawn gaurdian crawler a lot for quest items, they would sit there and try to voke it every time i would trade the item to pop. Eventually i had a war/nin come help me, and voke as i traded, then I called a GM on them for stealing NM's I popped. GM said there was nothing they could do.
since then they made it impossible to steal gaurdian crawler once you have popped it. while it helps a ton, doesnt stop the fact that they are there 24/7 now
