Just for kicks I'm going to go through and grammar check some of Beatdown's posts. :D You might want to refer to this classic guide to punctuation.

WoW I don't write on forms much but I just had to say something about this crap.

This rhymes, so it's easy to remember: WoW is an abbreviation. Wow is an exclamation!

Don't. You shouldn't be so afraid of apostrophes, they don't bite! See, I just used two of them and I survived!

And one more thing I do have a lot of jobs and am very good I would say at all of them but THF still a noob at that i would say, but am still learning the job.

Run-on sentences are bad. Try breaking this up into a few smaller thoughts! Or chopping off your fingers, one or the other.

Don't forget the correlating material on punctuation, Byaina. ^^

And here can be found additional materials relating to basic grammar and syntax. In fact I would call this the penultimate entry into the world of online grammar.

This is in the interest of promoting good communication.

Smiley: laugh

I knew I couldn't say that last bit with a straight face.

You know, the funny thing is, if Beatdown kept his stupid mouth shut almost nobody would remember this incident. Now he's infamously terrible with a bad attitude.

Lol I can't see Beatdown's posts anymore.

This is definitely a better thread without him.

Actually I think he just stopped posting...

There goes today's entertainment.

Um I've stayed out of this til now, well, because all of Beatdown's posts are gone and it isn't half as interesting a read without them. Either a filter I don't know about kicked in, or he has been banned from alla.

Anyone care to shed light on this.

*Edit - Nevermind. Default filter setting. Exactly how low has he been rated down lol?

I, sadly enough, win. But since that was one of the most fun projects I've ever been involved in, I didn't mind geekin' it out.

I've heard of FORTRAN, isn't that one of the first programming languages from the 60's?

For some reason it doesnt show # of skipped messages anymore, but it is indeed skipping most of his posts. I thought I was going crazy until I noticed at the bottom of the page x posts have been skipped. I changed to never filter (again) and his posts came right back.

I can see them, you have to change your filter to "Never Filter".

Beatdown reminds me of Belgarath, loads of entertainment ^^

I never filter. The sub-default and aweful posts are the most fun! They give me an excuse to hijack! Smiley: grin

In other news, everyone and their brother must have been out hunting leeches for the ruby tonight. There were no less than 4 solo leech hunters around my camp at any given point.

Well I wasn't hunting them. I was just xping. (Oasis, however, is not exactly my favorite choice for xp camps o.O)

Did add to the lag though. *wince*

Sorry for the late post but I've been sick lately and haven't been on much. I myself have my own story of Beatdown to relate. But first I would also like to add that not only am I in the same linkshell with Awias but I know for a fact she is a very good summoner and friend.

My first meeting with Beatdown was when he was playing a Ranger. I had just gotten my summoner to level 30 and the promyvia battles had just come out as well. My two friends Jamison and Dakor were setting up a party to go do a Promyvia-Holla run. This was and still is the first and only one I have ever done. We had an alliance of 2 parties. We had 2 War/Nins which were going to be the tanks for each party. We had a whm and blm for each parties, and at least 3 summoners and 1 ranger. I forget the exact party setups though, and you'll realize why later.

We managed to get to the 3rd floor finally with everything going well. As we got to the Recepticle on the third floor is where everything went wrong. We had the Recepticle down to a sliver of life and were dealing with the little annoying flying things (sorry I forget their names). Everyone was told several times not to kill the Memory Recepticle till we dealth with the little flying things first. I was standing off to the side and I saw Beatdown move away and turn toward the Memory Recepticle. I had a feeling he was going to do what he did and I said in the party chat not to attack the memory recepticle in caps. Lo and behold he attacks the recepticle, killing it, and bolts to the elevator. He went to the next floor and a few people went with him. The 2 tanks died since they got overwhelmed but the rest of us got away.

So at this point we are thinking that the whole run was over and for nothing. We decide to make it to the boss anyway and see if we could salvage anything. We finally decide to form one party and make a "suicide run" on the Wreaker. Our party set up at the time was 1 WHM (Jamison), 1 BLM (sorry I forgot your name), and 3 SMNS (Xeres, Namfoodle, and myself). So I wanted my other friend Dakor who was a BLM to join us since if we have no tanks we might as well bring tons of firepower. Well we get Beatdown. I'm still sore from him killing the Recepticle earlier but I just remain quiet and deal.

We get in and decide on a strategy. The BLM elemental seals + binds the Wreaker. The SMNs pull out avatars and start Astral Flow, while the RNG holds off and waits till the end for his 2 hour (EES??) to finish off the boss. We ALL agree on this. We start out with elemental seal + bind and pull out avatars (Ifrit and Leviathan based on his weakness) and then use Astral Flow. The Wreaker breaks free shortly thereafter and makes quick work of the BLM. We are doing fine till we get the Wrecker low on life and both Xeres and Namfoodle Astral Flows run out. We tell Beatdown to use his 2 hour now to which he responds I can't, I used it when we started O_O WTF?! I see someone was listening to the gameplan. Luckily I got off my last Astral Flow in time and we won. It was only by the skill of the players in the party other than Beatdown were we able to beat the Promyvia-Holla that day.

I never wanted to party with Beatdown after that since clearly he can't follow directions and isn't a team player. My second run in with Beatdown was when I dusted off a LS pearl that had been sitting around in my mog house and I equip it to see a bunch of people on. I introduce myself make friends and a few weeks later...Beatdown ends up joining somehow. I was willing to forgive that mess of a Promyvia and give him another chance. Unfortunatly he and Awias had a disagreement on how Awias should play her job and decided to make a big thing about it in the LS. Everyone left and I went with them. I'm now in Awias's LS and everyone gets along great in there without Beatdown.
