Ah I guess I've waited long enough to throw some pennies in the pond.
My encounter was in Eldieme Necropolis, helping someone get their G1 papyrus. I was only, hell I guess 51 at the time, maybe a lil higher. Beat was I think 66. The monk was 50. So we started in on an aggro'd hound, when another hound linked/aggro'd (whichever.) Now I'm 62, and I can solo those hounds, but at 50, I wasn't so happy to see a link. So I try to pull out Shiva to get a lil Sleepga on, but I get interupted, so I figure perhaps Thunderspark with Ramuh will get some hate from the link. I've got well over half MP, and Beat's no where near dead. Yet he starts screaming for cures.
I'm not even bothering to type since I'm trying to take care of the other. Again damn controller, I get interupted. So I just forget it, and cure him for HP he really didn't need, since both hounds were pretty much done by that point.
So after both are done, and we're resting he starts yelling at me about how to do my job. At 66 he's scared of (prolly at that point) too weak? I couldn't take the hassling anymore, apologized to the monk, quit the party, and removed my pearl (we were all in the same linkshell.) He kept sending tells (again, using ***...I guess all this time, no new insults) so I /blist'd him for a while.
Well, what made it more fun, was instead of keeping it an internal linkshell issue, he decideds, in the thread here on public Alla forums that the linkshell leader had made for our L/S, to publicly try to humiliate me claiming I wasn't doing my job.
Needless to say, I haven't stepped foot back into that linkshell. The linkshell soon after died afaik.
Oh and don't forget the time in Davoi pulling coffer key mobs Beat that was fun. I, a Summoner, was able to pull without links, yet you weren't. That was comical.
I don't know for sure if he's a bad "player." I think he just has a bad attitude, that if he cleaned up, perhaps he could be a great PLD.
As for not helping people under 70, I'm only level 62 sure...but I'm drinking milk, so when I'm 70, I'm hot commodity for HNMs...don't come looking to me for SMN help hehe.
I guess at the end of it all, I should be thanking you Beat, you drove me from a linkshell, into one I am proud to call my home, my yellow globe next to my name. I couldn't be happier.
