Not really, a Dark Knight/Ranger wouldn't really bring much to the party. First of all, Dark Knights have a horrible rating with bows, they do alright with a Crossbow but not for damage, more for an acid bolt or a bloody bolt. The ranger sub would really bring down the melee abilities compared to /Thief or /Warrior. The ranger is not a bad idea if you're camping a NM or something, but not for normal EXP parties.

Although, messing around with jobs in a goof pt wouldn't be so bad if you just wanna try it out and see how it goes.

(Just don't forget to mention it's a goof pt..)
I'd bring a whm/rng just to lob pebbles at the monster ^^
