I'm wondering what's happening to the Morion Tathlums ? They were going for 40k last time I checked them, and now for 80K ...
I'd like one, I know I shouldn't post this here, but if someone has a Morion Tathlum to sell ... PM or /tell me ^^

It's being camped by the *angel* gil farmers. Fireangel Iceangel etc. And sometimes the *envoy* people.
My wife tried camping it the other day but they usually have one person near each spawn point so its kind of hard. good luck ^^

I tried camping this myself because of the price increase with no luck. Even if you find a spawn point before it gets claimed, they were able to trade their ore and spawn the mob before I even hit my trade macro. Since I refuse to buy one from the campers, I'm going without for now.
I really need one. Ideally I need 3 so I can talk someone into crafting Morion Earrings for me. I've camped it a bunch of times and was beaten to the claim only once. Never got the drop, though. I *really* need to get THF to 15...
It would be easy if you were in a party of 6, each in front of a spawn point. You could let everyone know when it spawns and dies, so everyone knows to be ready exactly 15 minutes later.

40-80k for this thalium that is nuts! I am glad i got this a while back from fighting this worm! I took a while though (over 10 tries at least) to get it. good luck
Heh. I got mine first try. :P But I have a Phantom Tathlum now, so life is good.
Actually, that's a low estimate. Jeuno AH usually has them for 90K-100K.

Oh, believe me, I know it. I first started camping this worm when it was 40K, just as you said. At the time I got sick of camping it and not getting drops, so I though, "F*** this, I'll just farm or mine for the couple hours it would take to camp this and buy it".
I'm saying NOW it's 90K-100K. It's not THAT expensive, but knowing the money is going RIGHT into the gilsellers' pockets...I dunno, it turns my stomach. At least with sniper's rings your gil is going to leathercrafters.
Camped it again last night, was there for a ??? spawn twice, beat Fireangel to the claim both times. I was treated to 4 copper ores and 2 tin ores between the two kills. >_< I'm not 0/8 on it, I think.

I notice the tathlum is a throwing weapon. I see the stats are good for me, being a mage. I also notice, it is required for making a morion earring.
So if you throw it. Is it gone? I mean, does it come back like a boomerang? Or is this item's desire based on the fact that a morion earring can be made from it.

I think the big desire for it comes from the Morion Earring it can be made from. ^^
Part of the massive appeal of the Morion Tathlum comes from the fact that it adds a great and typically expensive stat boost -- INT -- into a slot that is almost always free for a mage. It's like a free point of INT that you don't have to give any other gear up for. I'm sorry to say that it is gone when you throw it though, as the Chamber Beetle I accidentally tossed mine at in Garlaige Citadel can testify. ; ;

I believe the spawn points have changed, cuz me an a few LS buddies camped it, and it didnt spawn at any of the points for 35 minutes(we had all points covered).
My friend logged off and checked a site, not sure which, and came back to say the points had been changed.

I'm now 0/10 on this. I've also noticed the increase in spawn time, which makes it more of a pain to camp. A 15 minute pop I can handle; 30-35 minutes, not so much.
I don't know how long it will last, but the Angel/Envoy crew is GONE. Enough people reported them I guess, or maybe they just went to a new game, either way they're not there. I was able to camp the worm easily, and on the first drop got a tathlum. On the 5th fight, my friend got one.
If you know any BLM that have wanted one but didn't want to pay the 90K (and support the gil sellers in the process) it's a good time to try and get one. If I'm in the tunnel when you go, I'll be happy to show anyone the spawn points of the ???. Good luck ^^

Well, I can confirm that the angels are back, one of my ls mates was camping morion for a while during their absence, but he went back yesterday and there were the angels.
Just curious, after looking at your LS website (nice btw) was it Eckskalibur? I showed him all the spawn points of the ??? since after I got my tathlum I learned I enjoy farming there. So, I tried to help others during the gil seller free time. He was pretty cool ^^ Did he ever get one?
A little more on topic: I've heard rumors that using magic, or finishing an NM with magic drastically reduces drop rates. Both times we got a tathlum drop (1 for me 1 for LS friend) were from magic kills. :D

Well, I'm 4/21 on him, 2 kills with THII 1 kill with no TH other 18 with THI. And the angels are evil.
Yes, they did change spawn points/times, and I don't know where they are now, but if someone knows and gets some other people I'd be more than glad to lend a hand in a PT to get some tathlums that AREN'T sold by the angels for once.
Plus, I sold mine for 60k a while ago, right before it hit 100k the first time :(
