I know this is going to be an unpopular post, but please hear me out.

First of all, I am not a high level player. My highest job is only forty. Also, I don't yet have a high level craft. As a result, my experience with the auction house has been limited to low level items which I would sell at the auction houses of the three starting cities (not Jeuno).

After the economy bounced back from the depression following the influx of ps2 players, I was impressed by how well things seemed to sell. Generally, when I would put items I had farmed up for auction, they would sell by the time I checked the ah the next day. Even individual bird feathers would sell consistently for around a hundred gil.

At first, I really didn't mind the ah update. Even though the price to put stuff up for auction was now significantly higher for me, it was still inexpensive and I was willing to put up with it to curb inflation. But now I find that stuff sells much, much, much more slowly, if at all. My mog safe and inventory are backed up because nothing is selling. It's not that there's so much stuff up on the ah and mine is too far down on the list. If anything, there are fewer of a given item available, and still it doesn't sell.

I don't know what about the last update caused this, but it's very troubling. People seem reluctant now to buy lower level items from the auction house, which is really hurting the people who used to sell that stuff.
