Goodbyes to BismarckFollow

#1 Jan 10 2005 at 12:03 AM Rating: Decent
I am writing this in reguards to leaving my friends and family(ls) of Bismarck. I play this game to have fun ,but the thing is that I just havent been having fun lately. I sit around all day hoping for a party , and that call isnt answered. I talk but I am not listened to. Sitting around all day with this kind of treatment is not worth playing. I know you guys that are reading this think I am just whining because I cant get a pt , when you sit around all week and dont get one party , I think thats just ridiculous. I am so close to AF and all the other goodies that Final Fantasy 11 has to offer at 50+ , but I just dont think im gonna go through with the rest of the game. I predict that I will be gone in a few months or less unless something really remarkable changes my mind. Vana'diel has been good to me , but I am afraid ill be taking my leave.

Give me tell if you have any reasons why I shouldnt leave.

I would recommend that at the least you don't delete your characters or content ID, and make a point of logging in every three months or so to prevent your characters from being automatically deleted.

You never know if you might get the urge to join us again.

Otherwise, good luck to you in all your journeys. ^^

I must say, some times ago I wanted to leave FFXI. But thanks to Merodi (We should create a topic where everyone could thank her for what she did for them, it will have more than 7000 entries in 2 hours), I figured out that FFXI isn't just slapping mobs, doing quests and earning gil.

FFXI is a world, and a community. You don't play a game, you are in a world. And, most important thing, you are not alone. People are there to play with you, they can comfort and argue with you, they can share happy or sad things. The word has been said : Sharing. You're sharing your experience with others people, and some of these can become your friend. I'm playing with other players, and for my friends. You have A LOT of others things to do beside leveling and farming. A world is waiting for you, aren't you an adventurer ? I'm sure there are a lot of places you still need to discover, or re-discover. Share this with your friends, help them whenever you can, this is the point of the game.

Most of the ppl I cared about also left.This gives me no reason to keep playing.People are so picky about what jobs are in their parties , and most adventures take a good amount of being leveled. I cant get pts , and I cant start pts either so I think I might go to something else that isnt so dependent on partying to level.

I lost my entire linkshell because they all left.
(definitaly, I can't write a post without speaking about her :p ) Merodi showed me that there were still lot of people on, and people sometimes very friendly. Look for another linkshell to "start over", make friends, and have fun with them ^^;

May I suggest you level another job? Change things up a little. Try to see things from another point of view..

Don't get me wrong as a RDM This will always be my job^_^, and it's what I will always be.. But I have been playing with my other jobs and getting them up to at least level 10 so I can go and party
/em *shutters* the dunes!!! What a nightmare, I thought I would never return there again^_^..

For me leveling another job for level 1 brings back some of the fun.. plus once you get back to the Dunes /em *shutters* you get to help teach and show the new players about the game^_^ that really does bring back some of the joy for me..

More specifically, you have to pay at least once every three months, by reactivating your Content IDs and logging in before the three-month period passes.

You can then safely deactivate them for another couple of months.
