I posted because I have been there. Maybe not on this game, but uber guild/HNM linkshells have the same drama. I actually was the raid leader (aka the person who tells the 50ish people in the raid what to do in order to kill said "uber mob") for my guild in EQ. Battling with other guilds/linkshells for the mobs with "teh uber lewts" is nothing new to MMORPGs, it didn't start with FFXI and I don't suppose it will end until MMORPGs instance end game encounters altogether.

What does a stoner BLM know about end game encounters? Whether it be FFXI or any other game for that matter. At least convince your next EXP party to get you rank 6.
