Lol, seriously, if I sell this in a reasonable amount of time, there's a scorp harness I could afford. 35k won't cut it I'm afraid ;)

There might not be a lot of people with 3.5M lying around, but a lot of people I know have more than 3.5M worth of gear in their safe, and doing a quick liquidation of old gear for something as hard to get as a Lu's might be worth it to someone. Also, it's not hard for a few people or an LS to go in on something like this. Lu's is a huge money maker if you have high enough fishing skill and enough time on your hands. Not trying to argue with ya, just saying that what's not worth it or affordable to you might be worth it and affordable to others ;)

I know if I were at a point where I already had my end-game gear and all my spells, I'd probably grab a friend to split the cost with me. But I can't justify making such an investment when I have Raise III coming up -.-

Actually, I'm selling the rod because I'm attempting to liquidate some items to purchase a scorpion harness that I can no longer buy after Wednesday. Hence the time crunch. It's not an advertising ploy or anything. :P

Perhaps you are right, Frey -- but I'm willing to try because I want a scorpion harness. If no one wants to spend on it in such a short time frame, that's fine. But it wouldn't be very fair of me to advertise that it was available without warning that it won't be for sale after Tuesday.

Well, the scorp harness fell through, so the owner of the rod would rather keep it instead :)
