Alright. Im a lv 52 drg and I need a sniper ring. Currently I have 50k and a empereror hairpin and no items worth much.
I have been sending shouts around the lower jeuno trying to aquire a ring and I have had 5 ppl reply in shout that I need to pay 100k and my emperor hairpin for 1 sniper ring.
Now according to Jeuno AH Emperor hair pin is worth 540k and rising and Snipers Ring is 610k and dropping. Now Why under gods green earth should I add 100k to the emperor hairpin?
That would be handing over 640k worth of item and gil for a item that is 30k less? When I was trying to get a sniper ring 2 weeks ago they were going for 550k and the pin was going for 520k and ppl were sending me replys even then sayingI need to add 100k to that.
Now I need to know am I missing something or not? Why should I over pay 30k for this item?
Im aware atm Im underpaying by 20k atm and if my stuff on ah sells Ill offer the remaining 20k but why the hell should I over pay when they are expensive enough?

I haven't looked at the price of hairpins lately -- but this is not a 1:1 trade.
If you cannot offer an equal trade to people, it is no wonder you are getting told to add onto your offer. I dunno about the 100k thing (seems odd so many *different* people would come up with the same number...), but yeah, you should even up the bargaining table. Use fair current AH price on both, and offer the difference.
Otherwise, when you finally find some poor schmuck who doesn't realize he's getting the crappy end of the bargain, you've just entered the gray area around actually scamming someone -- intentionally or not.
Try farming more.

Well, If I had known you were another Dragoon I would've asked for 300k.
Plus, I don't know what you mean by the price of Sniper's Rings dropping. It seems to be holding quite steady at 600-610K.

At any rate My stuff on ah did sell and was able to to get a ring by offering My pin and 70k.
Emperor Pin = 540k + 70k =610k Which was the going rate last night.

By the time u get to my lvl, u'll have way more acc than u will ever need. Guess u never thought about that.

Wow another of my Drg seniors. I feel like I dont have enough acc. I thought I could go on with just my venerer ring for a while. Then not long ago I got a pt invite for Kuftal tunnel. I couldnt hit a damn thing and I rarely had enough tp for the skillchain. The thf was telling me I needed more acc gear and I felt bad. So since I didnt need my emperor hairpin since I not longer play a tank and it was all I had that would go for a decent amount I decided to get a sniper ring.
If I would have been able to get a Jeager Ring I would have got that over the sniper, but as far as I know nobody knows how to get 1 or allakhazam just hasn't listed how to get it yet.
I know how u feel at the 50s. Sometimes going somewhere else to lvl is a good idea. At 52, I think u should be heading to Boyahda Tree and fight Spiders. You'll probably hit them more easier than crabs. Its up to u what u wanna do, I'm just giving u some advice. You are in control of ur character.
