Alrighty, folks, I'll be honest: I'm not the one to normally do stuff like this. But these aren't normal times. Hence--this post. (Sorry it's so long.)

I'm sure there's other posts about this on the main forum, and there's a post on the home page here for FFXI about donating to the disaster repair. So I'll be the first to admit that this is probably redundant. But here it goes anyway.

The death toll has hit 100,000 from the Tsunami that hit Southeast Asia. People were killed from Indonesia to Africa.

For millions around the globe, this tragedy is nothing short of apocalyptic in the full meaning of the word: earth-shattering. For all too many people, this is the end of their world, and was the end of many, many people. Everybody knows the facts by now, so I'll leave it at that.

We, the participants of this game, have been provided with a fantastic luxury. Not just the material luxury provided by the comptuers and the PlayStations and the game and the features and all that, but we are afforded the luxury of plugging our little brains into the game to go from this reality to one that exists as ones and zeroes.

Please know that I'm not trying to use this game as a guilt trip to squirrel money out of anyone. That is not the point of this post.

So: I'm asking the wonderful citizens of Bismark--those who can--to donate to the relief funds. I link to Amazon which has a quick and easy way to donate to the Red Cross.

My request is that we suspend worrying about the Leaping Boots, Sole Sushi, and Genkai 1. Real people need clothes, Tylenol, and food--the basics of existence.

In effect, we have been given a new quest. One that rewards the world and not just ourselves.

Will you accept? Let's show Vana'Diel--and the world that grieves--that we care.

Yeah, I debated even posting this here...

One, the internet is already flooded with things like this.

Two, those who already donate probably already have. But it got posted nevertheless.

I have been seriously considering putting off my return to the game for a month to donate my usual monthly fee to the Red Cross. I will have to get my paycheck first though.

I,myself already donate some dollars to the victims in Indonesia, did it from my working place where we all collecting money and distributing them to buy what people suffers there for what they really need.

Not a spamming post I wrote, but I would like to take your hands off from the keyboards to take a silent moment to either feel deeply symphatize or ask God to give their soul rest in peace.

Thank you

Additional note edited:
