New Years Resolutions/GoalsFollow

New Year's Resolutions!

You know, those things you always say you are gonna do, but never do beyond the first week of the new year?

And Goals for the New Year!

Those things, while lesser known, people say they are gonna do, and even make plans to do it, but never really do?

Yeah, those. Whether it be to finally re-wire the house, lose 50 pounds, hit level 75, or be able to stop leaving the toliet seat up (and making the wifey mad), it all counts!

I myself am going to get much better grades in college (not very good semester grades; 1.98 GPA), and to find something...don't know quite what it is yet though

How about everyone else?

Ive always made it a point to not make new years resolutions, if I want to change something Im going to do it when I want and not wait for a new year to roll around

as for goals...I will be finally moving out of home in January, which means Ill probably be stuck with no FFXI for a week or more :'(

I'm with Laurelen on both counts. I generally don't make new years resolutions, and I hope to finally have a place of my own this year. I am so sick of living at home I could puke blood. ^^

That being said, I have to work on New Years Eve. Smiley: frown

I also dont usually make resolutions, because I always end up breaking them.

However...I do set as a goal for myself this year to:

Live my life anew, love, cry, be happy, be sad, hug people, kiss beautiful girls, drink with friends, snuggle up with a special someone and watch movies/anime, to continue growing in myself and make new and good companions...

thanks to all here, you have all helped me more than you know and...being that the road looks rough again, you will all help me further without knowing it...I thank you all deeply and from the bottom of my heart and soul...

While I am not going to make any resolutions there are a few things I hope the New Year will bring.

For myself, I hope the New Year brings good news on the baby front. The wife and I have been trying, I hope good news is on the way. I hope for success at my new job (been here five months), BUY MY STUFF DAMMIT!!

For my wife, a baby, just one so she'll shut up about that damn biological clock. TICK, TICK, TICK.

For my family and friends, peace and prosperity.

For everyone on Bismarck, level 75 in at least one job.

And for a few of you regular posters, (said in honest hope)...

Heat, running water, electricity, good connections, rate-ups, no POL errors, new friends, no hurricanes, no tornados, no ice storms, no snow storms, more time to play, no wife/husband/gf/bf aggro, sage status, the death of karma camping and gil-farming and the peace and prosperity thing too... :)

Each year on New Years Eve I always stop to reflect on the wrong choices I've made and to why I'm thankful for what I have. Then , although not a resolution persay, (like many others I can rarely keep them >.<) I vow to cherish those around me and do better in the new year. ^.^

On that note, I cherish all my friends new and old and wish I had never made the trip to WA, I'm positive that put the final nail in the coffin of my marriage...

Umm...I just noticed a WoW ad banner at the top of my FFXI forum...lol

I will not drink so much beer.

I will excercise more then walking my dogs every day.

I will not drink so much beer.

I will not flip out on people I don't know that know me from the Allakhazam forums that ask me to check a AH for them (true story).

I will not flip out on people that I've met a long time ago that ask me to check an AH for them (true story).

In game:

I hope to bring blacksmithing to a point where I can use it to finance leveling my other crafts.

Camp and get Leaping boots. (Had Lizy once, never got the drop.)

I hope to gain enough fame to finish Gobbie bags 3 - 6.

I hope to unlock ninja so I can solo the Windy Dragon. (Yes I am that arrogant and insane.)

After I do the last two, I'll get back to the leveling grind.

In the real world:

Finish up two tattoo's and get three more.

Finish college (and thus get commisioned in the military).

Watch the 35 or so DVD's in my collection that I still haven't even touched. (Current DVD count = 138)

Get my skydiving liscence.

When I was 15, my New Year's resolution was to never have another resolution. So far, so good.

My brother, I am truly sorry.

And otherwise speechless. Words fail in the face of something like that.

When the chance arises, we shall have to find a quiet bar and take a few long draws of whiskey as a silent salute and farewell to love lost... when the time is right.

I mourn with you.
