I tried to set up a limit break II pt today. Had 2 friends of mine in my ls helping out, a 55 pld and a 66 blm. 3 people in the pt have to take the long way to xarcabard, because they do not have crystal. 1 person did not even have holla crystal -_-. 3 trains later and a couple disbandings, we are left with 10. We try anyways, and we engage the hound. It began to own us quick. Paralyse was owning us. The blm doesnt cast in the beginning, and half was through the battle, someone casts 1 cure III...this gives him hate...wtf? blm still does not cast through the whole thing, but, needless to say, he would have gotten hate if he had casted a spell. The whole alliance dies and the blm warps. Meh, so we failed, oh well. Then i get a couple /tells. They are pissed at the blm. WTF? If the blm would have chain casted, it would not have killed the NM and would have made no difference (except him dying). The person gets all pissy that the blm didnt die. I explain to her that a level 66 dying means a lot more but she didnt want to hear it. Then i get demanded 12k...and they are pissed they wasted an evening...WTF???

Moral of the story...people really are that retarded. Reroca...wow...just wow

Boy am I glad I couldn't join that party then (this is Yuehunei, the WHM you asked).

I'm avoiding Limit 2 until I'm full up on exp into level 55. Took my sister ages to complete it due to incompetence, and I'd rather have my LS members in the party with me anyway.

A tip I picked up watching my sister suffer: make sure your entire party knows what they're getting into, even if you have to add it to the shout. It's kinda amazing how many people are ignorant to the requirements, even when told. Run them through it step by step if you have to. If they're not up to it, don't take them along, they'll just be dead weight. Don't ditch them for not having the crystal though, a lot of people haven't even set foot in Ranguemont at that level.

It may require a little extra waiting, but you'll be that much happier with the results in the end. I've watched FOUR Limit 2 parties fail with my sister in them. She ended up getting one item per attempt (with the first attempt being a complete and total failure since the lv 60 WHM that offered to help randomly left and then so did the other healer and so then the PLD did...etc...etc...etc...).

Bottom line, don't make this any more painful than it already will be. It's sad that lv 52+'s can be that ignorant about party setups and hate control, but it happens, so be prepared for the worst. Get as many people you can trust as you can, and run the quest down step, by, step. Don't leave Jeuno (or wherever) until every last party member understands.

That's kinda sad. At 52 or so, a friend heard a shout in J for G2, so we joined up...and found out they were going to tele. We had been planning to pick up that gate crystal, but hadn't yet. Not wanting to slow down the expedition, we merely disbanded and spent the evening getting our final GCs instead.

That's really what those members without crystals SHOULD have done. G2 is one of the more painful genkai as it is. It's just silly to make it worse by being one of a few without crystals. Or worse, a 50+ whm without Vahzl >.>

There's not much excuse to not have this gate crystal. It *seems* hard, but it's really not that bad. First thing: do the Sandy quest for the Northlands maps. Research on the internet the path you take to the GC. Buy several stacks of prism powder/silent oil. Walk. If you can't avoid aggro -- that's a serious gameplay problem in the first place and should be something you learn how to do before leveling up higher than 55 anyway.

My set party had a similar experience with G2...our pld got the invite, but wouldn't go without us...but when we got there we found out that out of everyone, no one was really leading the expedition, and no one had a clue what to do besides our party -- or if they did, kept it to themselves. A shame. Perhaps they should make G2 harder, but limit it to one party, so that people who refuse to do their pre-work get automatically excluded and never get past 55 >.> *drifts into dreamland*

If your alliance is mainly 50s, you will need a full alliance. I'd recommand a full alliance anyways with 2+ tanks to trade hate and a WHM with Raise II or better. People will die fron the NM. There's no way around it.

I dont quite get what you mean by:

No, the rngs "bf" said that I better pay the rng 12k for her ammo. Whole thing really pisses me off. They got really offended when I swore though...which is kind of strange considering half the parties I get into...
