Looking for opinions and questions about the jobs...Follow

So I play a RDM mostly and RNG as my second highest job. I have all the jobs and am curious about what exactly each job's...well job is. ><;; Opinions are great of course because then I can take them and make my own conclusions...

So far I've understood this, at least this is what it sounds like to me imo


Black Mage: Damage Dealer with spells
Monk: Damage Dealer
Red Mage: Debuff expert
Thief: Treasure obtainer/Damage Dealer sometimes
Warrior: Tank and Damage Dealer
White Mage: Healer
Bard: Support
Beastmaster: Soloer
Dark Knight: Damage Dealer with some debuff abilities
Dragoon: Damage Dealer
Ninja: Blink Tank
Paladin: Hate control
Ranger: Damage Dealer/Hunter
Samurai: Damage Dealer/Skillchain expert
Summoner: Support/Some Damage Dealing with avatars

Im eager to hear peoples opinions!

Emilyia, in terms of Red mages, you forgot Raisaga. ;-P

Chainspell + Raise + Raise + Raise + Convert + Raise + Raise.

Personally, I wouldn't list BST as purely soloer. They are perfectly capable of it of course. But I for one enjoy partying with them. They are awesome at link control, and in the absence of a RNG can make great pullers.
