This morning I woke up feeling pretty good because I had read in the Paladin forum a couple of days ago that we as Paladins dont have the best defense in the game but the only thing is solely ours is that we have the best ability to manage hate. Which got me into thinking I am my worst critic and seeing that last night my party we had 2 BLM, 1 RDM, 1 WHM, 1 THF, 1 PLD(me).
One of the BLMs was the THF's trick partner and through all the {Dancing Edge}s and all the nuking I felt good that the Hobgoblins never turned to hit anyone except for maybe once or twice. I got nuked, debuff, hit hard and I still survived with the help of my party of course. I thank my party for doing a lot of work but since this is a feel good thread I wanna feel good about being the best tank that I could be.
'Tis the season and I cannot give you all a gift so my gift to you is this thread were you can express how you feel about your job and why you feel that you are the best at what you do. PLEASE I HAVE TO STRESS NO FLAMING, YOU DONT HAVE TO INCLUDE ANYONE ELSE'S NAME BUT YOUR OWN. I am the best motherf[b][/b]ucking samurai on the server. I've been told so on numerous occasions by people whose opinion I trust. I know how to chain with just about everything, I'm excellent at TP management, I can chain multiple times per fight, and I'm rarely caught without full TP or Meditate at the ready when I need it. I know that with few exceptions, I'm the one to defer to in a fight about skillchains, and frankly it pisses me off when someone playing another job tries to take over that role, because NO ONE knows more about it than I do. I know when I'll pull hate off the tank and the thief will have to SATA their skillchain onto them to get the hate back (right Ish?). I have (most of) the best equipment for my job, I know what food to eat under what circumstances, and I know my additional role as SATA partner/hate control. I know my role is not, contrary to popular belief, DD, so I replace attack and strength gear with acc and dex gear whenever possible. And yet I usually outdamage everyone barring rangers and blms (and one particular thief) anyway.
In short, I know my job a HELL of a lot better than almost every other samurai I've ever met. Which is why I'm Brock's role model. <3

I'd like to think that I'm the best hate controller / puller that I've ever partied with. So far.. nobody has proved me wrong =)

I have been told I am an amazing puller, and since I enjoy it I take pride in this.
I have heard of few people who enjoy pulling, but for some reason I love it when I get the down time minimized and the pulls right on target without links or problems.
I have pulled as a RDM (Dia), WHM (yes once...it was funny, everyone was arguing over who should pull, when I said I would), SAM (Voke), and my favorite job for pulling (of course) RNG!
But time and again I have been told Im a good puller so, I guess thats my specialty!

Well I'm definetly not the best Samurai on the server, that goes to Byaina, and I doubt I'd even score a medal, since there are tons of great Samurais out there, but I think I am pretty good at what I do.
I don't have the best gear for my level, like all +1 equipment, but I have pretty decent gear, and I do use food.

I have not leveled my WHM for ages (5-6 months), but almost every party I was ever with complimented me over and over about how good of a WHM I was. I think in my whole career (37 levels) I had only lost one person due to my own mistake. It was just one of those jobs that I could play with my eyes closed.
I'm a ranger now (41), but I really do miss my WHM. Been meaning to dust that job off and take it out again.

I'm the best english speaking 75 taru ninja on the server, I deny the only reason for this is because I'm the only one :-]
I feel i am one of the Best RDMs on our Server, Granted there are Maney great ones i feel that i am one of the Best. I do my job in parties and Keep Chains Going for thos who XPw ith me We hit Chain 5 at lease 75 % of the time due to my contanst Refreshing and MBing. I also will adapt to the role of helaer and such and am not going to challange the party if i need to do so. Ask anyone that has Partied with me and you shall hear that i give 110% and do my damndest when we XP
Edit: I know there are alot of Great RDMs on our server and this is my own Biased Opinion so please dont rate me down if i sound full of myself, lol that is kind of the premise of this thread is to build yourself up anyway lol

i guess i would have to say i am the best Gambler on the server.. I know people dont like the whole casino thing, but i am pretty sure i am the best at it..
Oh and i am a pretty good BLM .. not the best per se, but still a pretty darn good BLM..

I'm not going to lie and say I'm the best WHM. I'm not even going to say I'm good for my level. I'm not perfect, and I know full well I've made more than my fair share of mistakes.
What I can say is that I want to be a good WHM. I do my best to keep all spells current, I use food, and I do my best to tailor Barspells to fights.
If I'm ******** up, I want to know how and why so I can make that better. If there's something I can do to improve on what I'm doing, whether that's waiting longer to avoid drawing hate, casting a different spell, or even changing something in my filters, then I want to know that, too.
There are things I still have trouble with. I'm guilty of panicking and spamming cures when I see HP dropping, thus drawing hate. I've stood too close to mobs that cast Sleep and gotten hit. I've cast Raise at bad times, and yeah, I've even cast with an elemental close by.
But I've learned from my experiences, laughed a lot, and had a great time along the way. I've learned that I really love my job, too. :)

All humility aside, I'm one of the best RNG you'll come across at my level. I take the time to get the good gear, I take the time to get my AF (only missing my jerkin since 52, and that's my 58 piece ^^), and I'm just generally awesome. Really, I am. (Stop looking at me like that Barney. -.-)

I have job ADD. I play lots of different jobs and play them to the best i can. I've been complimented on my pulling abilitiy, my sata abilitiy, my nuke control, my mp management, my skillchain knowhow, my hate management, my damage control...
You name it i've had it.
I am a GOOD player, not the best, but definately no slouch.

I'm not THE best at what I do. On this server I think the honor goes to Jwb, I've heard many many good things about him and the way he does his job.
But I do work damn hard at it.
I was in a party in Boyhada Tree a few days ago, killing Robber Crabs. I was on main heal duty, haste duty, debuff, dispel and refresh.
I was literally in tears after 6 hours of this; anyone who claims RDM to be an easy or stressfree job hasn't been in the trenches with it. I worked my *** off in that party, and got 16k exp in the end; I feel I overextended a bit too much, but I'm still proud of myself for pulling that off.
I do the best I can, and try to do the best my job is capable of for the parties that invite me.
But I do work damn hard at it.

I'm only the best at one thing : Staying lvl 19, 400 tnl for 3 months, waiting for my set to wake up (it never did), then staying 3 more months lvl 20, farming for my roflmaomgahahah THF gear, then reading that 75% of my friends are leaving FFXI during my first hour of LFT in Qufim as a THF ... Yes, I think I'm the best at doing such things :p
