Someone tell me if I'm missing something here...
I have all three xmas trees from the three nations in my moghouse.
I have given away a ton of presents in my hometown of San d'Oria.
EDIT: Don't know what I did, but after 24 real life hours, it works. I got the hat. :)
I have not removed my Dream Hat, and when checking with the Moogle by the AH, he says I have been delivering barrelfulls of ludicrous amounts of joy, or however it is worded.
Now, most would say, just go to your Moghouse Moogle and he'll tell you you have a present under the tree. He has not done so.
I tried giving away a few more presents, just to "top off" my joy, still nothing.
after a few hours of this, i went to Gustav Tunnel to party, i did take off my Dream Hat, but when I came back, put my DReam Hat back on, I checked my Joy, and it's still ludicrous, but STILL no present under my tree from the Moogle. is there something I am missing?

I've noticed people have better luck if the spread their presents out among as many different children as possible.
Did you tour all of Sandy passing our presents or just dump them all on one or two kids?

My dear friend Apollonious had the same plight.
If you get your dream hat, you must wait 24 hours (real time) before you can get your dream hat +1.
Btw, I visited 44 different children in Windurst ^^ If you need a list of them all, I'll be happy to post them for you.

I had the same problem. Then I logged in the next day, and my moogle gave it to me.
I believe this quest is tied in with Japanese Midnight. After that time you should be able to get the hat. I didn't trade presents to many different children^^
I only passed out 5-7 presents to kids.
I know you have to have your tree in your mog house and the dream hat for over 24 hours, but I think you also have to ask you moogle from your home city.
Haha, I had been out of Bastok so long that my moogle also gave me a Hi-Potion from my tarutaru desk and I've only had that thing sitting in there for 8 months. ><

Hello everyone Gazoo here...
1-Have all 3 trees in your mog house.
2-Pass out gifts in your home town
3-Check with moogle again & he will tell you that you have passed out BARREL LOADS.
Then he will ask you if you want to pass out joy to the other towns. & He can warp you to the other town if you want.
4-Go to the other towns & pass out gifts to the kids there also.
5-Check back with moogle again he will say that you passed out
CARAVANS LOAD, thats when I went back to my mog house after 1 game day & my moogle in my mog house say's the he found a gift for me under the x-mas tree.
6-The gift looks like a wrapped gift, when i opened it it was a FIRE WORK'S of SANTA CLAUS in a slay flying threw the air, after i checked my items on me & ther it was DREAM HAT+1
FOR THE RECORD>>> I did my hometown first SAN D ORIA & I went to
WINDURST only, I never did BASTOK.

It is not required that you have all three Christmas trees in order to receive the Dream Hat +1. I have the hat myself and only possess one Christmas Tree currently.
Also, the method by which you obtain it requires only that you distribute presents in one city. Indeed travelling to another city via the Mog-Warp and distributing presents there results in a reduction to your total Joy in the city in which you started (like Fame, there are Joy rankings for each city).

Well I delivered 2 Ex presents in all three nations, and delivered a stack of the cheapo presents in Windurst and I got "ludicrous" joy from the Moogle. Well I went inside my Mog House and sure enough, it was there. The Ex presents are those Yellow ones you can buy for a lot of money. Maybe it's dependant upon how much money you spend...? Dunno.
