Please respect the people you lvl with!Follow

I am not sure if this is considered a rant, I would like to look at it as a curtousy call on my behalf.

Well as we all know in FFXI you have the ability to lvl different jobs, and sub any job to compliment our main jobs. With that being said sometimes you will have to lvl a job that you have no desire to make your main job but is the job that will benefit you most as a sub for that job you love so much. Sometimes you will spend a hefty amount on your main and will be too broke to spend gil on your sub. It is just very rude for people to go out and lvl their sub with subpar gear. I am not saying that you should buy +1 items for it, but it would be nice if you spent on the regular items (the non +1) which in most cases is a hell of a lot cheaper.

I was lvling my sub (WAR) and I saw some others whom I had partied with before doing the same and just either sucking at their sub or having horrible gear. I dont wanna open the flood gates of hell with this thread, but if you are under performing because your gear sucks is hurting not only you but the party as a whole. With that being said please discuss what are your thoughts on the matter.

I leveled SMN to sub for my WHM and was in a Kazham party with a NIN who was using swords because he never leveled katana because he was "Only gonna get NIN to 37 for a subjob so there's no point in wasting time leveling skills."

Sorry, but that excuse would maybe work if you said "Only gonna get NIN to 15" or *maybe* "Only gonna get NIN to 20" but 37??? That's enough levels to do it right... Not to mention the fact that keeping up a weapon skill is easy peasy. Melee cap their weapon skills every level as long as they have a weapon to use.

It was odd too because this was a prominent high level, high ranking player in a popular LS, and I just assumed that since those types of players have gobs of money and time, they might level the job right. Guess I was wrong though >_<

Hell no, I reserve the right to ***** if someone's not pulling their weight. FFXI is a TEAM game. If you are the weakest link, you deserved to get chewed out. Why should other members of the team suffer because of one member's incompetance? Do you enjoy getting 200 exp PER HOUR because one of your member is not pulling their weight?

Because most people are impatient at filling bodies in a party, lots of bad players get squeezed by and later caused even more trouble in higher levels. If you see someone doing something wrong, tell them as it is. Its your duty to inform other people. This is the main reason I troll this forum.

Don't try to be nice. Be honest. You are doing them a favor in the long run.

Not only have I noticed that but I have also noticed people walking around with Beyond under leved subs For example I was leveling my BLM (One of the subs for my main=RDM) anyways I was in Kazham and here is this WAR with his flg up and his sub was a (I can't remember the details) but it was a below level 5 sub..
