So I joyfully download and install the POL viewer update, restart, log on, click on the shortcut, select play and prompty get told.....
error code: POL-1160
Version update communication error.

and when i FINALLY got through that stupid loading % wouldnt go up <as in it wasnt loading>

I got all the way in game around 6pm CST and there was all of about 250 people online..... Then I got kicked off FFXI and now I'm unable to relog. ;) Why I don't know, but, I do know I dont deserve the ****** service I've been getting for the past year.

I get home from my second jobg and run my PS2. See the New install so happy me [ok] download..lol PS2 restarts and ERROR!.. I didn't try hitting the retry I am having it run a file check just to be safe then I will see if I can get back on.. I hope so cause I will be one P*ssed off MotherF*cker if it don't..lol

im still getting errors! been trying for oh... four and a half hours... its starting to get very annoying, i would really like to get this done some time TODAY!

I got the same error. I plugged my modem straight into my ps2 instead of running it through a router, didnt get a POL error. w00t.
I had the same problem. But the wierd thing is I was having this problem on Saturday. I kept getting the POL-1160 Error and it said version update failed. Anyone have any idea on this?
