anyone tryed it? i've tryed to install it, but i get "Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package." am i the only one getting this error? i just wanted to see the score id since i only had a 9200 back when i bought the game and get to see the things i may not have seened in the new zones yet ; ;

I had no problems with installing it, you can try re-downloading it again.
My computer is "Very Tough" and scores a 3395. ^_^)d

The link again is http://dl.square-enix.co.jp/taru/FFXiB3Setup.exe

I ran it at High Resolution. My computer is:

AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (CPU was cheap, so explains the score)
1 GB DDR333 RAM
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128 MB VRAM
Giga-byte GA-7N400 Pro2 Motherboard

... one "Very Tough" PC for what it can do ^_^)d

I havn't had a chance to run it yet, but my PC hasn't been upgraded since Neverwinter Nights came out a couple years ago. I run FFXI on the lowest settigs possible. I'm going to attempt to run the program on the highest settings and see if it will even run, maybe i should just ask for new computer parts for xmas!! ^^

lol Octoberasian .... you beat me everywhere, 512mb mem, 2500xp+ processor, but i gain than speed back from my video card, an ati radeon 9800 pro 256mb, so dont blame the score you got on the processor, mine lower and i scored higher cuz of video card :3 ....as for my motherboard same as yours but got the defective batch and was kinda too late when i tryed running a 1g mem in dual channel (which caused it to loop over and over again ; ;)so if i want a gig memory, i need to put a 1g chip and not twice 512 ><, and im too lazy to change the motherboard and retransfer all the parts back -_-;

5175 points on High

System Specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2Ghz
1GB PC3200 DDR RAM
MSI K8N Neo Platinum Motherboard
Leadtek GF6800 GT Video card w/256MB
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum

All drivers are latest drivers from manufacturers. This machine absolutely ownz in Doom3, EQ2 and NFSUG2, too bad Half Life 2 for some reason still refuses to run for more than 5 minutes without a memory leak leading to game crash. :(

Finally got my hand-me-down computer up and running again, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Dual PIII's @ 800 MHz ea.
256 MB DDR RAM
GeForce MX4000 128MB DDR AGP 4x
GPU Core Clock- 250MHz
VGA RAM Clock - 400MHZ

Low Resolution: barely a Decent Challenge (1600)
High Resolution: Too Weak ; ;

So I did some playing around, tweaked the system as a whole (something relatively new to me)

Between system optimization and tweaks I got a small (100 pt. gain)

So then I tried overclocking the VGA card:
Core - 300MHz
Memory - 500 MHz

(Not nearly sufficient cooling for anything higher. I pushed it a little and started getting corrupted graphics immediately.)

meh, it's ALMOST an even match on Low (1900)... haven't tried High again yet... maybe if I go buy another stick of RAM... >.>

But hey, I'm proud of a 300 pt. gain damnit. ^^

I managed to pull about a 4550 on High Res.
As for Low Res, I was REALLY hoping for 7000+ but I only got up to around 6500 ><;

lol... I guess I'll have to settle for {Incredibly Tough}.

System Specs:

P4 3.2GHz HT Technology
ASUS Radeon 9800 PRO 256 MB
Dual PC3200 512 MB Kingston Ram, total 1 GB
ABIT IC7-MAX3 Motherboard (biggest mistake of my life ><... shoulda got an ASUS... my silly NB fan is making grinding noises when I start up, as is common with many who have my mobo ; ;)
