I take no credit for this smart remark but:
The new thief ability will be called "Party Finder."

Yeah the remark came from a THF whose set party is on hiatus atm ;)
I'm not sure what they'd add. I was trying to think of other THF abilities from past final fantasies and all I could think of was Mix (Rikku FFX). But I doubt they'd add that. It'd be really complicated lol.
Edit: And as others have now pointed out, that's not a THF thing, I never knew though because my FF knowledge only comes from FF1 (NES), FFX, and now FFXI, sad I know >.>

Mix is typically a chemist/alchemist ability in the world of FF. In 10 they mixed classic job traits around a lot. (Tidus THF/Time Mage, Yuna WHM/SMN, Kimari DRG/Blue Mage, Rikku THF/Alchemist).
From what I have been told by many high-level sources, THF loses some of it's appeal once you get high enough (60) that other jobs can sub THF for Fuidama. Perhaps something post 37 to boost 60+ job balance? Nothing major, mind you, just a tweak.

[Edit: I'm a ******, and as was posted below, Khimari would be more of a DRG/Blue Mage, what with the huge friggin' spear, and the jumping...]

Hoping for a fourth evasion tier, myself.
If not that, something to increase the power of dagger when thieves use them. Kinda lame that our only A weapon is one that never gets over D26, unless you are incredibly rich/lucky and have harpe, perseus' harpe, or mandau.

Maybe it's just me, but Mix sounds like... Synthesis. We have that. XD But yeah, it might be just announced to build hype for the "omgz new THF trait!" which will end up being something like "Resist Evasion Down". XD
