The final preparations had been made. Kestra flew back n forth, from Kazam to Jeuno, getting materials, to send, with Morlen, for his trip, to La'Thiene. It was to be a sort of surprise. Most of the players have never met my Elvaan before. I would check every now and then, to find that Merodi was already there. Over the LS, my friends were telling me of the gathering that had already accumulated in that spot. It was getting very interesting.
When all was prepared, Morlen set off. I was confident that I could get him across the zone without getting my butt kicked. Fortunately, that was true (the dying came later LOL). I reached the designated grid, and for a second, I thought everyone had left. It seemed empty, until I saw some /say conversation. Haha, they just hadn't loaded yet, and I found out why: There must have been 30 people in that little grove, all standing in a peculiar line! They were playing a game.
I must say, that was an AMAZING gathering of friends! I got to meet a lot of new people, from here, that I've never seen before, and it was a large pleasure. Eventually, we broke into small groups and started all doing different things. Some people came and went, and came again over the several hours. I decided to try and mess with some of the worms... um yeah, I think I died 5 or 6 times, but I still gained in the end, haha.
Several hours later, I headed back out, and home to San d'Oria. From what I understand, people still were gathering over the rest of the day.
I really did enjoy being there. Got a few screenshots, that I'll post as soon as I can. Merodi, it was a great event. Thank you.

Okay, so here it is:
I'm running around Windy, to Jeuno, and finally to San'doria where I ran into Nights (thankfully^^). He gave me a nice port over, and I was soon on my way to looking for a spot for the gathering.
Me and Nights ran around for a bit. I didn't want to go too far from the crag, so I tried this one little nook on the map. It was a no go, due to the poltergeists running around by a piece of the crag there. So, after doing a little thinking, I decided to head to the original spot I had figured a while back ago.
Running towards the lake, I spot an empty patch with trees all around. Perfect. This is the spot. Although the occasional spawn of monsters was less than desirable, it gave some of the more antsy people something to kill ^^
The next to come around was my eldest (in RP) sister, Ayre. As usual, she was hyper and couldn't keep still, and was so for most of the day. Mullen was the next to arrive, in his usual polished knight's gear. Yoshinaka, and his beloved better half, Catgirl, came along as well, and that's when we started to talk up a storm and laugh it up.
We sat down in this small empty patch and talked about silly things here and there. Solrain and Kitaru, the cute-aru, came along and joined us in our little sit-down circle. Before long, the can't-sit-still Ayre had brought us a friend and a "water bar" in the form of a water elemental.
Somewhere along this time, Superego came for a visit, after hearing me shout out to an incoming visitor. Nemika and Zylle were the next to arrive, the shouter being Nemika. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, Zylle became incredibly lost, and came by 10 minutes later.
So here we are, laughing and talking it up, singing campfire songs (KOOMBAYAH) and drinking from the water elemental. Yoshinaka 'impressed' us with his karaoke singing, and hopefully promised that he would never do it again.
During these times, Audion and Jubon paid us a visit, Jossephilips came too. Ivwri and Humeo were there and Phyree and Yekan came as twins, and even left as twins, at one point ^^ Kestra was there, though not as Kestra, and if I've forgotten anyone's name, please forgive me, because I definitely don't have a great memory for names ^^ (Cruize was there too though, so I can't forget him). Oh, two more names popped into my mind, Nephilim and Tatako made it too. and I can't forget Damaskus and Arkanwulf, two of my favorite Galkas. And Laurelen and Jordan came too. Whew, so much to remember.
They were in time to watch the NM name line. It was an impromptu game I devised to pass the time, since we had a goodly amount of people to play it. After watching Nephilim bust a groove in the center circle, I got everyone into a line up to play. Somewhere there, Valcrist came, and had a pet Goblin to join the line too.
So here we are, lined up, and my other (RP) sister, Ferra, comes to join us. The object of the game was to have the first person say the name of an NM and the last letter in that name would be the first letter in the name of the next person's NM. Confusing? Perhaps ^^ So we had our fun and giggles doing that. I remember Maat as poor Kakashisan's guess, but we counted it, because Maat is definitely notorious. (We had a couple list cheaters, with names up on their spare computers, but it was all in good fun). Somewhere along the way, I was mentioned as a Notorious Galka Couch Sitter ^^ but we passed on that, although it got a good chuckle out of everyone.
So after the success of that game, we sat back around and just started talking about things here and there. Nerika had her jokes, Zariko came to chase me. And things were good. People came, people went, but all in all it was fun. Xanoxonax came for a visit, as did my friend Dragonlord. Zohar came for a brief stint towards the end. Apollonious, the poor soul, practically forgot that it was the day of the picnic and tried his best to make it, which in the end, he did.
And there was so many who came, who stayed for a while, and I hoped they had some spark of fun. I stayed there towards the time of maintenance, although, embarrassingly enough, I fell asleep every so often. At one point, before I started to doze off, I had come back from AFK to find everyone naked. That... I'm still not sure what happened there, but was a strange site to come back to. Tatl kept us amused with his avatars and we talked about lots of strange things, in game, and out.
All in all, by the time I had woken up, I was happy to have been a part of it all. I'm sorry the game were never done, but I assure you, I'll set aside days for just one game a day, so that we can have little breaks here and there, and I can get those organized properly.
Hopefully, you all had fun, and if so, I'd like to spend another day, just like this Thanks-Gathering, to just sit and relax.
I did happen to make a pearl for the day, but it really wasn't needed... but if you want it, I will always have it. It's called: -Hitoyose Tomonari- It means "Gathering of People" "Developing Friendship".
Thank you all, for those that attended... and for those that couldn't come, we had missed you all, but never fear, for we're always there somewhere, and if you need me, you can always bug me and I'll be happy to try to be there for you ^.^

Hey everyone! Had a lot of fun! I took some pics too. Not a lot though, and mostly of stuff other people took pics of. But I didn't see any of our good friend Battering Ram. So here was his brief appearance!

Okay, I got my pics! I had forgotten about the sheep, until I browsed through them.
Morlen arrived at the scene, to find a peculiar line-game going on. Seems Valcrist had brought a Goblin Fisher to the games. Well, we did say EVERYONE was invited.

When the game was over, we all settled down in a large circle, and began to tell stories, jokes, and pass around the drinks.

There's a funny irony to this pic, which I never realized,until that day: Zariko and Morlen have the same template (but he had to prove he was taller, haha). The irony is, that Morlenkheren is going to be my Dragoon! *grins*

Well, as the day rolled on, I started getting tired of getting killed by the worms, and attacked by goblins, so I got me some guard bunnies.

Finally, it was time to go, but look what a good omen I came across, on the way back. The first time I've ever seen it.
