So, anyone else having problems connecting this afternoon, or am I the only lucky ******* who is getting every goddamned POL code under the sun? This is what I get for logging off to come onto Allakhazam to see what the hell an Eastern Paper was.
I've been gone for three weeks, and now this crap happens. I'm one happy Elvaan, let me tell you. -_-

Haven't tried. I'm too busy moping because I can't play my shiny new Metroid Prime 2 because my damned Gamecube got toasted by a power surge.
In any event me getting POL errors would be nothing strange, so I wouldn't be much help to you here. Whether or not others are having problems, I always have problems. =P
Playonline informs me that Fairy went down for a little bit, but that server's back up now, and all systems appear to be nominal.
[Edit: "To" and "too" are both excellent words. Pity I originally chose to use entirely the wrong one. >< ]

I don't remember the time that it will start, and I'm at work all day, so I didn't worry about it, but there is a maintanance today for about an hour.
Downtime isn't until midnight PST, 3 AM EST. It's only for one hour. It's not really maintenance, so much as it's a server move. :P
God! Im so glad it wasnt just me. I smacked my modem like 10 times today because i got every POL error there was.
I'm still getting every POL error imaginable and I dunno why. It happened last night and then I got on just fine but now it's happening again.

I haven't been able to log into FFXI all day. It's getting kind of annoying, but I think its just my ISP.
It may also be PS2 users, but I have no idea.
I call your attention to this. Mystery solved.
