Ok so tonight while i was talkin to my friend on AIM i couldnt really play FF too much, from payin attention to him and the game it got kinda hard. We got talkin bout all the mythical and legendary monsters in games and what not and i told him bout Vrtra, and finally decided to go check it out for myself.
So i took my other character Zeth out there with a job i didnt care too much for about losing xp and off i went. This is a very easy monster to get to and you dont have to wait for a pop because no one has killed it yet that i know of. So i got there with silent oils and prism powders, enterered his area and decided to see how close i could get. I got pretty close, but died in approxmiately....2 secs lol. So here's a few pics taken from my pic site:

To everyone on our server that isnt a high lvl and cant go fight or see any of the high lvl cool NM's this is a good one to go see. I posted this on here instead of on the Vrtra page so people on our server can see him if they never heard of him.

Has anyone beaten Vtra or know of Vtra being beaten yet on this server? I know several HNM LS' have come close, but I am not aware if Vtra has gone down yet or not. That is one bad looking Dragon, awesome pics.
I've only seen the Tiamat fights, I hear that all the undead around Vrtra make him even tougher than he already is because all the skellies are tough for even 75's.

Thanks to Wintaru, Xan, Kingpopof, Domon (sp?) and a couple others that I cannot recall your name immediately (I just woke up and I am not very bright). I had been putting off 5-1 for so long, and hopefully we can smack the Shadowlord tonight. You guys are great!

King Ranperre's Tomb, in the high level area.

For Vimien and anyone else who wants to know - u can get to him in the King's Tomb by going to the spot with the ??? which will teleport u to a high lvl area. From there u will need sneak and invis so bring silent oils and prism powders or the spells if u have them. After that u just have to hug the left wall for a while and just make sure u are contantly going left. Eventually you will come to a big stone door, u will have to take invis off but sneak will stay. Once inside you will need to redo invis because there r still other mobs inside. Once inside though he is right in there, usually ppl try and see just how close they can get before he dispelga's u and kills u in 1 to 2 hits. Here's what happened to me....
Vrtra starts casting Dispelga
Zeth’s Invisible effect wears off
Zeth’s Sneak effect wears off
The Hati hits Zeth for 372 points of damage
The Spartoi Sorcerer starts casting Aspir.
Vrtra hits Zeth for 644 points of damage.
Zeth was defeated by Vrtra.
Still fun tho and cool seein Vrtra, and i didnt mind losing the xp to get some pics of Vrtra.
