Faithless - God is a DJ (from Sunday 8pm)

I mention this b.c my coworker, who is rather unschooled in techno, just asked if I was listening to the same song over and over again. I've had the CD going for about 45 mins now ; ;

That song, in my opinion, is Radiohead's BEST piece of work, and certainly my favorite to date.

There's such an overwhelming feeling of desolation and ultimate futility layered in the music and lyrics of that song that it gives me chills everytime I listen to it.

I love that song (and Radiohead is just fantastic, to boot).

I always found it interesting that that song was written by Johnny Greenwood, not Thom. It is my favorite song off 'The Bends' however, what I consider to be one of their (if not /the/) best albums.

Cavelight, music by Blockhead.

If you like any shape or form of hip-hop or beats, buy this CD. You really need to add it to your collection. It is by far the best instrumental CD ever created. A rollercoaster of emmotions.

Agreed. On both counts. Glad to see some Radiohead fans about. They're never given as much credit as they are due, I've always felt that.

Nothing right now, but as soon as I get to leave for lunch, I'll be making a playlist on the iPod of:

Try, Try, Try, Snail, and the entire Adore album - Smashing Pumpkins

Street Spirit (Fade Out) - Radiohead (really wish I had OK
Computer on there - I very much want to listen to No Surprises, and Paranoid Android would be pretty good right now, too.)

Only an Ocean Away - Sarah Brightman

Live - I Alone

Dave Matthews Band - Grey Street

I recommend everyone get www.audioscrobbler.com. You download a plugin your your mp3 player (takes literally a few seconds) then your mp3 player tells the site what mp3 you've been playing. Then your user page shows the latest mp3s played, your top artists... blah blah blah.

Check me out:
http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/Mailorder

But if you don't feel like clicking, I'm listening to "Percy's Song" by Fairport Convention. Good stuff.

Right now, "The Decisive Battle (Final Fantasy VI)" By Nobuo Uematsu and the Black Mages.

I'm *way* too geeky for my own good.

Good to see some Smashing Pumpkins on here, though - I've often got that on. Or Bad Religion a lot lately, too, even though I don't think I've seen it here.

I'm a big fan of "Liberali Fatali", i think it is called.

Which reminds me, apparently Uematsu-san resigned from Square-Enix.
