tsk..tsk..tsk..Somewhere you have lost your way.A game is meant to be enjoyed. Its not about getting multiple characters to high levels.Nor is it about complaining about other people. Its about having fun with your own experiences with other people not the bad experiences.HAVE FUN ITS A GAME! If your not having fun because someone is ruining it for you and you cant do anything about it, quit. Its a game now leave each other alone and go have fun.

i posted that on a thread.I will admit that i have complained about gil sellers and things of that nature but i think that the amount of coffee and how tired i am mixed together to form something brilliant there.
It is a game
It is meant to be enjoyed
It is meant to be enjoyed by yourself and with others
If you cant get along with others this is not your kind of game

sorry if im ranting here but i think more people need to understand this (including myself). thank you and good night..(need more coffee!!)

Very true, sometimes i know i forget that its just a game, and i get all emotional and stuff, but then i realize that it truly is just a game, but what is not a game is..

The peoples feelings around you.. even tho you are not looking at a face, there is still a human brain on the otherside of that character, and if we all learned to get along, then it would be alot nice place.

Yeah no kidding... irl i have resect for peoples feelings in game as well as out of game.

Even though real life is more important then a damn game... i tend to respect in game people and thier feelings as if was real life.

But then again it is somewhat like real life...
If you sign on to party with people and have to go 10 minutes later... you are wasteing other players RL time. Time that could be spent with loved ones, seeing a movie with friends, ect ect.
^^

Cheers on the feelings quote, sometimes folks seem to really forget that and don't realize things they do (or don't do as the case may be) really can make someone's day or make them very sad.

Here's to hoping for a kinder, gentler FF:XI. ;)

a game, yes, but also an investment of time

I find that if I start getting too irritated at something in game, I just log off and start again the next day

yes, if I am in a party, I will respectfully bow out and try to find a replacement...

but I find it better to just play another game (usually one with loud explosions) if I am in a pissy mood...

a game... an investment... and alot of fun... if ya handle the stress that can be involved in good ways

Sometimes I admit I do get fed up with this game to the point where I threaten to quit at least 213897561278965 times a day.
But thats when I realize that it's time to go for some target practice or do something mundane.

What really gets me is even though you nailed it on saying that this is just a game and we all need to realize it, you seem to have bypassed what someone else before me mentioned

How would you like to be told that the last 4 years that you spent going to a college were a waste of time because you were going to be flipping burgers for the rest of your life?
I know thats a bit extreme but I hope you understand the correlation.
Just like I spend an adequate amount of time farming for my gear and equipment so I can be the best player I can be I also expect the same from potential party members, so I think you would see what would cause people to become upset while playing this game.
Especially when it's late and parties are hard to come by.. so most people (like I do) settle for what they can get.

blah but anyway i've done and gone off topic... rate meh down if ya like ^^b

Please refer to this thread for my feelings on the matter.

Don't ***** and whine if you get kicked out of a party because a leader wants you to play your role and you can't.
