Check out the RDM forum sometime, you'll see why we have so many neurotics in our ranks ^^ Melee is a super hot debate, has been forever.

But thanks a ton for the post, I reiterate that it was great.

Alright, bottom of the line is; listen to your party leader, don't argue unless they suck at being leader...okay?

**WARNING**

This thread has been trolled. I'm rating up those of you that got trolled.

Why the rate downs? ;) I don't even care about me and Trizz, we always cuss each other out on the flame thread. He knows I wuv him. ^^

I think most of these comments that got spanked were just people joking. Don't abuse the system guys, that's not cool.

I was in a party with a level 25 warrior with a polearm that didn't have a chocobo license yet...and then proceeded to totally leech when the members with higher level jobs wanted to help the totally nice party leader with kazham keys...it wouldn't have been a big deal except he wanted us to give him the first key and then when he finally got there he proceeded to lot on all the drops (fetich parts, etc) that had fallen before his arrival because he was only rank 1 and needed them for the mission. >< He lotted the silver name tag, too.

(This doesn't include the part where he wanted us to wait 3 game hours after waiting 30 minutes before so he could feed his chocobo for the second time. Mostly because I talked him out of it.)

And I don't care if you're level 10 or level 72, there are sucky players everywhere. I bet they are even reading this thread!

And I agree -- exp parties just don't work as a democracy unless you're already all friends. Pick up parties there should always be some sort of party lead respect, mainly because it's usually a group of mostly strangers and sometimes you need to follow to get a groove. Once you build up mutual respect, democracy works -- before that it'll just get you less exp.

How about the SAM/DRG in a LS-mate's party tonight who said that having a DRG sub was like having "permanent Berserk"? Points for a non-cookie-cutter role, but... yikes.

I dunno. I only pass out originality points when the originality makes sense, and works. :P

He was obviously confused with DRG/SMN. I mean, that job combo is juat plain uber. Who can deny the power of someone that can bring a wyvern to a fight and can also summon a rabid blue suirrel to fight alongside them? Hell, even us RNG get outdamaged by that.

(I swear to god if someone takes that post seriously, I'll stab that person in the eye with some intelligence.)

I apologize to any DRGs I made cry, I've had a bad night of losing a level getting my AF2 done. -.-

Unorthodox races work too.

I decided to try leveling my DRK some more in the dunes. Nevermind the party I was in wasn't the greatest (NIN/WAR was our tank but at level 10, no Utsusemi o.O) but before we left I found that as a Taru DRK I was out damaging the Hume DRK in the group.

Yet when we started everyone was saying "A taru DRK? lol"

Ya laugh now as I stick my scythe up your *** ! ^^

I decided to skip the dunes and partied with a LS mate (galka THF/WHM) and we actually both leveled and were getting good XP as a duo. Made an interesting pair...

Oh and I like to sub BRD. Being able to cast madrigal on myself rocks!

There is nothing wrong with subbing bard!

Sure, it gets a lot of strange looks when I pt (I have yet to not hear "Wtf, I thought we didn't get a bard in this pt" from a group when I exp), but the pally doesn't complain anymore when all the sudden he is hitting those bats that he used to miss constantly, AFTER I sing my little Madrigal ditty on him.

Also, the paeon II between battles helps the pt recover faster, and so that I can med as the whm sooner. And even in battle, paeon II with regen recovers around 10 hp a tick. With two tanks, that saves A LOT of mp in the short term.

I am working on buying some CHR gear that will work for whm, so that way my Therody's will land on the mob, and so I can weaken it to a paticular element (i.e. the element that the groups SC is).

And all this with nary a missing beat on my healing.

Need I say more?

EDIT: Grammar issues.

Byaina is referring to a SAM/BRD, which would be a bad decision.

A healer or support job would actually get to utilize a BRD sub, although I would prefer the traditional WHM, BLM, or SMN sub.

I'm into the play as you want, just not in an EXP party. I just let a static PT over that stuff and let me tell you guys, heh, It was pretty funny the abuse I endured. The Pt was

PLD/WAR, DRG/SAM, RDM/NIN, SAM/WAR(me), BLM/WHM, WHM/BLM

Now I know RDM/NIN is pretty damn good solo but in an exp party....it sucks man. The RDM was always too busy meleeing to do anything but keep refresh up so our whm would go from his over 550 MP to like 300 in one fight. That was an easy fight. PLD could barely hold hate off me when I went into all out mode, which I'm sorry; That's sad.

It's just I been into cookie cutters do your job this way PTs, and they been the best I ever been in. When you're lvl 41+ and getting 3.5k an hour and you're pushing your static as hard as you can as puller. There's something so wrong there.

heh sorry, i'm just ranting because I gained 3 lvls in 3 weeks. Partying two nights a week -_-
