As of 1:03PM EST, the Jerrys are MPKing everyone left and right (although SUCKING at it most of the time). They tried to train a Terror Pugil onto my sister's group, but failed and ended up killing two of their own, but apparently that really pissed em off because now they're doing it again.

GM has yet to respond to my sister's call, what a surprise.

Yeah I know you're getting tired of hearing these topics, but I don't want anymore people to die because they're trying to get experience.

That'll be easy for me

1) stuck at work
2) don't even know where Cape Terrigan is
3) probably not high enough level anyways
4) stuck at work

They're probably trying to farm raptors which people like to xp on. :(

I hope your sister gets a better GM response than I did, tell her to take screenshots with the in game picture taker of them doing it. Maybe that will help.

They *seem* to have stopped, but I think that's because their precious WHM (see the topic "Ugh, how lame" for just who that is) doesn't have Raise 2. They're still fighting extremely close to my sister's group (perhaps "On top of" would be a better description) and it's pretty obvious the pugs are giving them a really hard time so they're probably thinking "if we die, we'll take them with us."

Still no response from GM.

EDIT

Dancewolf has bit the dust.

As some closure, since my sister quit awhile ago, the GM never responded (I don't know how many calls ahead of her, I didn't ask), and the Jerrys were aggressive the entire time, and don't look like they're going to leave anytime soon, so anyone who has to level there, just be careful, and be prepared for anything.

It's an SE conspiracy, I just know it!

Being that the Jerrys tend to take exp mobs about four or five levels after the average pt, that could put them almost mid 60's. That scares me.

They left right before my pt got there last night, which was a pity, since the Jerrys and most of my set have a fond, fond love for each other.

*On the side note of CT last night.. Thank you to the parties that saved my **** last night. I expected to hit the sand trying to drag that pugil out of the caves, but Altrage, awesome as usual, came to my rescue, along with several others exping there. You all have my eternal gratitude =)

Its 11:52 and I am lfg. I get a blind invite from guess who, Dancewolf.

This just in, Jerryz has a new friend, turns out that the pt I was invited to found Guivre in Kuftal and he ate Jerryz for lunch. Just thought I'd point that out.

Edit* I failed to mention in my previous post that I DIDNOT join the pt because 1). I know who damcewolf is and 2). I dont accept blind invites.

Depends on what you mean by right.

Ethical? Probably not. But would it make you feel vindicated in a warm fuzzy way? Yeah, I could see that. Risky? Definitely.

If the reward of feeling giddy after getting some revenge outweighs the risk of getting your account suspended for breaking the ToS, go for it :D

I typically opt out of the risky decisions myself though, but that's just a personal preference.

You know what is waiting to rear its ugly head here?

Player reports gilseller several times for MPK. No action taken.

Player takes action into his own hands, MPKs gilseller. Gets account suspended.

Player sues.

Yes, blahblahblah, TOS. Guess what? Doesn't matter. You can sue anyone for pretty much anything.

I dont see how MPKing a gil bot can get your account susspended. What is a Jerry going to do if you MPK them, call a GM? I think not.

They aren't bots number one...
and many of the gil farming groups have been known to call GMs.

MPKer is an MPKer. It's just the wrong thing to do. All you'd accomplish by doing something like that is fuel them (gil farming groups) to become even more aggressive, making the situation worse than it already is. Don't help them in any way, shape, or form. Report their actions to GM if they are violating ToS. That is all you can do. And until we see some (visible) action being taken by SE, we are just going to have to deal with it. Sad, yes... but the truth.

Then I ask you this. Why are the honest players having action taking apon them while others in areas such as the Cape and Kuftal are being allowed to stay in those areas where players exp?

A couple of my buddys where camping Mee Degi the Overcamped in Oztroja last night and this clever little BLM somehow got Highjump and one of Jerryt's buddies to join PT with them and D2'd their asses. There's an idea that isn't against the ToS whatsoever.

Trizzoro.

I'll have you know that was my boyfriend's party (Trinido, 54 SAM). The warper was none other than Gurgi (61BLM, 54RDM). I was recently invited to join their set party. I had the pleasure of seeing this over my boyfriend's shoulder in my dorm room. We subsequently tried to do the same to Rexxy but it didn't pan out.

Gurgi and Sigur (set pt leader) have a pretty nice little record going regarding messing with gil sellers, including some interesting trade window stories. Don't hit enter, gil sellers, or you might lose your paycheck!

My guess is as good as yours... I am not a GM.

Acutally, it could be considered griefing, and would be against ToS Article 3.1 section (f):

"The use of the Game or the PlayOnline Service to harass any third party, including other users of the Game and PlayOnline Service, or to solicit, encourage or threaten bodily harm or destruction of property"

I assure you, any vengeful act you can think of... short of just competing for NMs and XP mobs like you would any other party or player, could be considered against the ToS.

(I do however think that tricking them into D2 is quite harmless and amusing ;))

What is MPKing??? Don't mean to sound like a noob, cause I am not, but never heard that term used before, I imagine that it means something close to training. Though, also it could mean something totally different, and then I will look like a complete and total noob . :p
