Being what i hope to be, a high lvl woodworker someday, it would be advantageous for me to know something about furniture, "dressing up your mog", etc. If nothing else, just so i can get people to buy my stuff.

So...

How is your mog decorated? Is there a purpose behind it (i.e. crafting, etc)?

My mog is COMPLETELY EMPTY. Kind of embarassing for a woodworker, but it's true. Plus, i figure i'm the only one who gets to "see" (or not see) the products of my own laziness.

My Moogle isn't very picky about his furniture. He is quite content with the furniture he has right now.
Maple Table
3 Brass Flowerpots
Adventurer's Certificate
TaruTaru Stool
Sand'Orian Tea Set
Brass Bed

I know he's got a few more items that I can't remember off hand
right now, that and I think its time I bought him a Noble's Bed. He claims he hasn't been sleeping well. Hopefully the new bed solves the problem otherwise it's back to rehab for alcoholism >.<

The only reason I have furniture at all in my mog house is either because I quested for the furnishing and don't want to throw it away, or I'm using it for a moghancement. I don't like buffing out storage because I'm typically not in my home town to access all the items in storage, but I know a lot of people do buy furnishings primarily for the storage.

So my advice would be to look at what items are sought after because of their associated moghancements, or look at what items give a relatively large amount of storage. Those will be the items that are bought with more frequency.

Also, quest furnishings (put a furnishing in your mog house and get an item after tally) might be something to consider. For example, if you put a bureau in your mog house your moogle gives you protectra IV. If you put an armoire he gives you protect IV. Just something to keep in mind, as these furnishings might sell more often.

Furnishings that have to do with mog house upgrades (so beds) will sell with more frequency. As will furnishings with "hidden attributes." I don't want to say much more about the hidden attribute thing because I can't say if they are rumors or true, but those are all the things I would consider if I were trying to craft/sell furniture ^^

I'm trying very hard to balance utility and appearance.

Because I'm such a pack-cat I have a good amount of furniture, for the storage purposes, so far, but I'm also doing my best to balance the elements of it all so I can get a specific Moghancement as well.

Currently in Kestra's home:
Maple Table
Bronze Bed
Tarutaru Stool x3
Water Jug x2
Wastebasket
Book Holder x2
My First Magic Kit
Kyzorin Cosmetics
Chest
Wicker Box
Ancient Blood, and Acolyte's Grief
Tarutaru Desk

I'd love to get a Bookshelf, but WOW those things are expensive!

All I have in my mog house is a workbench sent to me by a friend, that my mog likes to play flip-the-cup on.

Problem is, he plays all by himself and passes out by the fireplace, so I gotta clean it all up whenever I get back.

This is why I refuse to give him more furniture. Just more stuff he'll mess up leaving for me to clean up. Worthless mog. If it weren't for his safe, the delivery box, his green thumb, and the ability to change my job, I would have punted his *** into the fire a long time ago.
