But greatest game ever? No, I'll have to disagree. That honor belongs to Crystalis. ^.^

Ho-ly sh*t! I thought no one knew about that game. I got a Huh!? whenever I mentioned it when it came out, and since then, no one I know has played or heard of Crystalis.

I LOVED THAT GAME!!!

I wouldn't call it the best game ever, but damn was it good. And re-playable. Over, and over, and over, and....

/em runs off to dig out his emulator.

I bought my PS2 for FFX. I am and always will be a huge FF fan. So no there is no other games I play and will probably stay that way for a long time.

Except for FFX-2 What the hell were you thinking SE?

I actually enjoyed FFX-2 a very great deal.

My only actual gripe with it was that the job system wasn't nearly as well balanced as I would have liked.

Once alchemist opens up I used it almost exclusively for healing and buffing, and once I got Dark Knight nothing else sufficed for the other two characters.

At least, unless you play your cards right and got the Mascot dress sphere.

What didn't you like about the game?

I hear ya Verd, X-2 was a waste ^^

Anyone here play Legends of Dragoon? That game got awful reviews but I thought it was a blast. The special attacks where you had to press the button at the right time was very entertaining, I would love to see a remake of this, or a sequel.

Legend of Dragoon was awesome, besides it being a blatant FF7 rip off i really liked it!

I love FF games cause you get Avatars. Sounds stupid but the reason I bought FF online (Besides the fact I buy every FF game) was to be a summoner then I fell in love with DRG. FFX-2 doesnt have the option to be a summoner which I didn't like first of all. Second your charicter choice was limited. Third I personally thought the story line wasn't as good as any of the other FF's. And last the main reason FF games are fun to me because everyone has it's own uniqueness (if that's even a word) and FFX-2 was just a bleed off from FFX.

Please remember these are my personal feelings FFX-2 just didn't do it for me.

Legend of Dragoon was stupendous.

It got a lot of bad reviews because everyone kept calling it an FFVII knock-off.

Which, if you've played it, you know to be a complete {lie}.

As far as pressing buttons at the correct time goes, and additionally as far as stellar RPG's goes, Win I direct you to Shadow Hearts: Covenant.

And incidentally, yes, Katamari Damacy really is more fun than it has any right to be.

You know what Win if a sequel to Legends of Dragoon ever came out I think I would probably leave FF. That was probably the best Role playing game I have ever played. And yes I loved that special attacked thing they had. That game rocked!

I might have to run over to EB and see if they have a used copy, sold mine a while back but that would be fun for nostalgia ^^

My wife and I do a lot of driving to family's houses over the holidays, that'll give me something to play while on the road :)

I'm playing Theophany's game ^^
(actually, the homework I've been doing has been demotivating me more and more and it just hasn't been as fun)

Nights, I loved Lunar. I almost stopped playing because I missed out on some of the lil' picture cards hidden in the game (how come they never had any of the guys?). But the friend who let me borrow the game pushed me to continue, and I was happy to beat it ^^ I love the songs in there, and there's a cute "Shii the cat" flash animation that uses the love song from Lunar.

By the way, Nights... is Nights your favorite? ^^ I loved it and wished I still had my copy. *sighs* (dumb brothers ^^)

I have to unfortunately say, I bought Tales of Symphonia and haven't touched it in forever because of FFXI ^^;

I did stop to try and play Silent Hill 4, because... well, I love those kinds of games that have spiffy plots and are pretty scary =^^= (I'm easily scare-able)

Nights, God I wish I had played that.

Probably won't ever get the chance now.

*turns down his NiGHTS remix soundtrack*

Merodi, you guessed it!

I keep my Saturn out so that I can play it whenever I get a bit depressed at home.

Oh, and about the Bromides in Lunar, I wasn't complain' about none of the guys having any ;) Seriously though, there were guy ones in the sequel to Silver Star, Eternal Blue. Now THAT is an addictive game.

Seeing a review for Eternal Blue in a EGM magazine way back when it was first released for Sega CD was what got me interested in role playing games in fact. It was so pretty...

Nevermind I didn't play the game for another few years. When I saw it on PSX, I bought the game six months before I owned a PS system, I was that desperate for it. Even got the lil Ghaleon punching puppet in my room now next to my Lunar poster. Now THAT is fun to play with. Best pack in ever for a game.

I WANT A LUNAR 3!!!

mmm, Secret of Mana.

I want my Seiken Densetsu 3 dammit. /cry

Oh, and I'd be willing to bet we'll see a Lunar 3 sometime in the next year or so.

Right now, lets see.

The Sims 2 (when my ISP is dead, like it is so often) (Don't kill me, I enjoy torturing them. And building things. I'm a geek)

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (It whiles away the time at work.. I'm on my third playthrough - altogether, I've logged over 300 hours into this game, and I'm only 12 hours into this playthrough ; ;)

Katamari Damashi (I saw someone else mention this - THIS GAME IS SO GOOD OMG! And so very Japanese. I <3 it)

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (GBA version) (Another game that I'm seeeeriously addicted to that helps work go by faster)

One Piece Grand Battle 3 (Import, PS2) (3D Fighting game. Luffy is effing BROKEN)

Dance Dance Revolution (home versions: 3rd mix import, 5th mix import, MAX import, MAX, MAX2, Extreme domestics) (Because I'm that much of a dork that I own a CobaltFlux pad. Not that that would mean anything to anyone but a DDR geek like myself. But then, I named myself after a DDR song, what do you people expect?)

I think that's about it right now. FFXI sucks away what little time I have that I'm not at work or over at a friend's apartment. And even then, I sometimes play FFXI at my friend's place. ^^;

I wish so...

Supposedly the game has been in works for years, but sadly, I think I am sooner going to see Cher stick with one husband than a Lunar 2 sequel.

Another sequel I really want to see though is a Shenmue 3 game...

I hated how that 2 ended on a MAJOR cliffhanger, and I have been dangling ever since to know WHAT happens to Ryo. The first game has probably the best music that I have found in a game ever, with the insturmental "Lonliness" from the first game is probably my favorite in-game tune ever.

I have tai-chi'ed to it even;)

It is gonna take either a Lunar or a Shenmue sequel to convince me to even think about cutting my FFXI game time down any.

Well ... LotD (legend of the dragoon) was indeed an awesome game. The fighting system was spectacular because of the boxes..

as for being a FFVII rip off......

(You chase around a guy with white hair, who is uber buff[Sephiroth] and he kills one of your friends[Aeris])

When I can be torn from FF:XI I have been playing X-Men Legends with my roommate and her BF. I have much fun smashing things as Wolverine or Magma. Hmm... I detect a trend... :)

Who has very different goals than Sephrioth, in a world with a VERY different history, etc. I could go on about differentiations, but that would rather spoil the plot for anyone not interested in playing.

I just don't see the same hair color, murder, and a chase as particularly substantial rip-offs. Death and tracking an advisary are pretty ubiquitous ideas, I thought.

And if I recall correctly the games were in development at roughly the same time.

Actually I find certain aspects of the plot for FFXI to bear striking resemblence to LoD. But I'm CERTAINLY not going to detail how HERE. I'd be crucified before the alter of tasteless spoilers by every person in here. =P

Katamari Damacy is so goddamned addictive.

I didn't like the vs. battles at first, but there's very subtle strategies that can be employed there that opens up a huge can of head-to-head worms. ^^

As for now I'm currently basking in Jak 3. Dear God.

Something about all three games in the trilogy, this one most of all, appeals to every part of me.

Which is funny, because it got rated anywhere from slightly above average to very good. I'd say it deserves a little more credit than that. But every review I've read seemed to be reviewing it and finding it lacking because it wasn't ratchet and clank.

Umm... O.o?

Is it just me, or to mag reviews get worse every year?
