I just knocked out pretty much every computer in my office due to spyware which was linked to my computer and I'm guessing linked to this site. It's safe to say my boss is pretty pissed. I had to start over my account due to this. I atleast have software now that will prevent this from happening again. Oh well, **** happens.

That sucks man, my work just filters any content it deems unappropriate.

Is there anyway to make it where they don't have my email address on this site?

The spyware is most likely coming from those ad banners they have all over the place, since my spyware blocker prevents a lot of them from loading. Unfortunately it's entirely legal, so keep that program of yours running at all times.

If you don't want them to know your email, make a yahoo one and use it for registration. I have two Yahoo accounts, one for real mail, one I use when signing up for stuff I know will spam me to hell. I get 600+ spam mails a day on that account, so I'm very glad I did it.

Funny how these companies think that by flooding our inboxes, we'll love their product so much we'll go out and buy it. I don't know about you but I just click that nifty little Delete button before even reading the subject line if I don't know the sender.

Oops? Did I just ruin your business plan?

....good.

Making a bogus e-mail account sounds like a great idea thanks.

/sigh I just miss being a scholar lol

Rate ups for Verd to get back his Scholar status ^^

BTW, static is still on for tonight right? I'm curious to see Catgirl's parser stats for my first night with you guys, I'm still getting used to Audion. A PLD who actually Cures!

I'm sure my MP to HP Cured ratio sucked because I'd start a cure right after he did and hit him for 0 lol. Not that I want him to stop doing that, that's awsome Smiley: clap

Get a popup blocker like panicware's pop-up stopper and run adaware or spybot at least once a week. I have virtually no popups or spyware on any of my computers.

Also, I have a separate email account I use when signing up for stuff online. Keeps all the junk going to one email address.

Well someone apparently likes ya. O_o

If you haven't already, tell your company to download and install Ad-aware onto their computers. It's entirely free, and invaluable. It doesn't get rid of everything, but it still does kill a lot of tracking bugs.

EDIT
Had to kill the grammatical nightmare. -_-b
