I'm going to say it on this thread, and hopefully it will be read by any others, but please use the off-topic forum for stuff like this. I come to this thread to see what's happening in Bismarck, not in the real world.

Indeed. While we did have some discussion on the election, it was mostly along the lines of members of a community talking about things in their life. The election loomed large at the time, so perhaps it was not so off-topic.

Now that the election has passed, please keep this sort of commentary to the off-topic forum.

Isn't the Bismarck forum for the players of Bismarck? Even if it involves the lives out of FFXI? I could understand if this were just some *insert sad story* thread to gain sympathy, but it isn't. And the quote was posted as a response to the end of the election, so it's on-topic (election-wise).

My subject header was very clear. If you wanted to see FFXI stuff, you could have simply *not* clicked to open the thread. Like many others who probably didn't care about the election, they probably didn't read this thread and thus did not get bothered.

---

I do find myself at fault with one thing (that I should have realized), and that's that I should have posted political commentary on an already existing political thread. I've edited my first post and placed it in the "Ohio" thread. Forgive me for that, I've edited out my first post.

I was actually more concerned with the worry that you would be flamed for being off topic.
