Hmm do you have another ticket for Costa Rica? If so count me in! LoL!

On a serious note, it appears as though Bush will be getting Ohio and that Kerry will in fact concede. :( Oh well.

Bush hasn't gotten us killed in the last four years, **** we've been safer for the last four years than we've been since 1990. Believe it or not, It's the truth.

And incidentally, the attitude of most GOP supporters today is juvenile and disgusting.

Bush essentially won this election by roughly 140,000 votes. Had those votes gone to Kerry, he would have won Ohio, and the presidency.

Hardly a reason to gloat.

Bush is president. For four more years.

I just hope we won't look back and rue it.

Congratulations, somehow stopping gay marriage and legal abortion is more important to this country than the largest deficit in history, over 1 million lost jobs, an unnecessary war, the probability of a draft, or any semblance of a real issue. The Jerry Falwells and Pat Robertsons managed to elect a man who shouldn't be in the White House in the first place.

Oh, and I know this will be massive rate down city, I just don't care.

I really did say this way before the election if this man wins I will go to Japan, I will leave my significant other and start a new life in the land of the rising sun. I really have always love this country since I was a kid, specially New York where I grew up. Never no other place in the world will compare to NY, cultural differences in NY is what makes us stringer, but seems is what is driving the rest of the country appart. I am the product of a biracial society, and biracial family. And it hurts to see all this happen.

Maybe nothing bad will happen to me if I saty here so I will wait 6 months, to which point I will see if things change. But if it is the same crap from the last 4 years I am going to Japan. Hopefully from there I will be able to help you Bismarckians more. There are several conspiracies about websites with NM pop times that only allow users whose IP originates from Japan access. If this is true I will let you know. Well happy trails in this the country that we all love. God Bless America.

What a dangerous topic ^^

Like I said earlier, I support Bush but I in no means thought this election was a pushover. I also don't think it's ok to gloat. It's very clear that this county is going to have a rough 4 years ahead of us, probably even longer than that.

I sincerely hope there are no rate downs here, this is a discussion, neither side is right or wrong, it's all opinion. Just because someone thinks so 'n so is a better candidate for whatever reason, doesn't mean another person doesn't have the right to disagree with them, Bush or Kerry (or Nader ^^). They should be able to express their opinion without fear of reprisal.

I say we stick together in this, we may be divided over who the best leader for our country is, but at least as individuals we can be the best Americans we can, and encourage each other in fair discussions without hard feelings, or rate downs, or all of that nonsense. Or better yet, let's leave the politics out of this video game and get back to our threads where we get together to help each other out, or joke, or gang up on the gil sellers ^^ Sure beats boring politics :)

Speaking of, planning leveling my 26 BLM here soon, anyone interested? Maybe Sunday:)

Well said Wintaru, I a Kerry supporter will rate you up for being a team player.^^

I am not a bush supporter but Kerry wasn't exactly the strongest candidate that the democrats could of put foward. I voted for kerry cuz i would of rather had him than bush but in all reality i don't see what kerry could be any stronger leader than bush. But at least he can complete sentences.

4 more years of bush = 4 more years of more turmoil and world isolation

On the subject of the draft, one minor note.

Bush has said he won't initiate a draft. Forgive me if I don't immediately take him at his word.

Here's my bet. We'll be after the following countries before his second term is up: Iran, Syria, Damascus, Korea. Although we may not go after Korea in a military sense.

Here's another bet. No general elections in Iraq.

And another. Civil war in Afghanistan.

More: Patriot Act II.

Maybe a draft.

Those who supported Bush will continue to get more fanatical (by and large. note that this is a GENERALIZATION). I've already been ostresized from most of my family.

And finally, 1-2 more terrorist attacks on American soil.

And by god, I hope every one of my predictions is wrong. I really do. I'd like American to be safer, and if Bush actually stops making it less safe, and makes it safer, then more power to him. I'd like my family to stop viewing me like I'm nuts because I'm pretty far out on the left wing.

But right now I'm expecting to be right on 80% of them.

Wintaru, I actually was considering you the exception to the rule as far as gloating goes. In this thread, as in all other threads, you have been imminently respectful.

Perhaps I should have made that clear. I apologize.

I didn't like either of the candidates that were forced down my throat this election. Bush for obvious reasons (being a feminist just doesn't jive with his points of view), and Kerry for appearing equally as dishonest and money grubbing.

I am also sick of having to vote *against* someone instead of voting for someone I actually *want* to be president. If there were a way to enter a vote of "no confidence," basically saying that these candidates you've presented aren't doing it for me, give me better ones, I would have. But currently there is no way to vote *and* voice your complaints about our election system.

Therefore I voted for Nader. Wasted vote, yeah I know, but I want more variety with my candidates, not carbon copies of eachother. I was going to be unhappy with either winner, so I voted for a change in our system essentially.

My theory: Both Bush and Kerry have the potential to do some very nasty things in the next four years, and I wasn't going to be responsible for putting either of them in a position of power.

I think we can all agree though that it's nice that this years election didn't take a month to figure out and end up being decided by lawyers and the supreme court >_<

This last week I swear I've gotten over 50 calls to my home (swing state of MN oh joy) telling me to vote for "enter candidate here." That might have played a part in my getting fed up and voting Nader. Being told I'm acting immorally by not voting for "enter candidate here" started to get old real fast.

*waits another four years and hopes next time there is a candidate that actually represents her beliefs on the ballot*
