I have no problem with encouraging people to vote, but I could care less who you think should be president. Keep the politics out of this game and we'll get along fine. Insist on forcing your political view on me, and it's hello /blist.

I'm glad you know the candadates and the issues Yekan :)

I fear a lot of people voting will be uninformed, since it seems the message is to just get out and vote for someone, regardless of if you know their platform or not:)

Polls close at 7pm so get out and vote this election is very important. It will decide our future for the next 4 years and maybe longer with the long term effects.

Polls don't close at 7 PM in all states. CNN has a list of what polls close when: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/scorecard/

- Note that all CNN's times are Eastern, so you may need to adjust to your own time zone from Eastern.

I'm going to vote on my way home from work.

yay voting...one of the few activities that could actually get me out of bed by 7am Smiley: tongue

hell, work doesn't even spur me to get up until 8:30 - i start work @ 9 btw

but yeah, go vote! although i was kinda disappointed to find that none of the voting topics from the mtv commercials actually made it on the ballot Smiley: grin

I voted today.

After having an arguement with a political challenger at the polls. He was intimidating folk out voting and harrassing them rather than providing last minute campaign information.

Which is why challengers were deemed illegal in Ohio.

Until a court over-ruled it this morning.

I think I provided some humor to my neighbors in the process, so I managed to discharge both a social obligation and a civic on at the same time.

Not a bad start to the day.

We have some interesting topics on our ballots:

1) Banning smoking in bars (Non smoker but I think this is stupid)
2) Legalizing gambling in Nebraska
3) President ^^

So ya, I'll be very curious to see how the election comes out on the state scale as well as nationally.

In the event to stop political flame wars I won't be mentioning who I vote for ^^

A ? that should be on the Ballot.
Do you support the Legalization of Marijuanna and the Hundreds of Millions of Dollars Saved on Prison Terms for Possesion which are longer then Some Rapists and Murders?

I second the notion of gettin out of bed at 7am to vote. I did the same thing. Infact i waited in line for 45 min just to vote.

Have a good day all and good luck in your battles tonight

I think that IS on the ballot in some states today.

Our ballots contained a question of whether or not we should adopt an ammendment to the state constitution banning gay marriage.

In the interest of avoiding flame, I'll refrain from revealing my thoughts on such.

Suffice to say that I punched that hole on the ballot harder than the others. To make the point.

I already voted for Kerry today.

Wow i didnt know that, Well /Hurray for our polling system then. If i were to choose a 2nd ? It would Defintaly be on "Gay" Marriages. As Like you I dont want to Cause a Flame Thread but it definalty was one of the issues i based my vote on today.
