I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but I'm starting to get a little annoyed.

Every time I go to the blacksmith guild shop in bastok, I find that they're sold out of bronze ingots. No big deal, guild shops are frequently sold out. So the next time, I made a point of going earlier in the day so that I could buy ingots before they sold out, but again there were none. I figured they were selling out really quickly, so I started showing up right when the shop opened at 8:00. When I first clicked on the store owner right at 8:00, it looked like they were available, but then they were instantly greyed out before I could buy any. There was another player in the store who was anon, and who didn't respond to tells. Is it possible that there's some kind of bot or hack that removes all the limits on buying? Are gil sellers buying out items at the guild shop to corner the market at ah and force crafters to pay more?

As a result of all this I have not been able to craft lately. I refuse to buy ingots on the ah, because if my suspicions are correct than I'll be encouraging that kind of behavior. Of course, these are only suspicions, I don't have any proof. So when I called a gm it didn't seem like there was much that he could do. I realize that stuff selling out at stores is common, and that they may not necessarily restock every game day. But it seems like they should be restocked at some point; I know that they don't rely entirely on players selling to them, since so few people sell to npc's.

Anyway, there may be some simple, benign explanation for all of this. Hopefully someone can shed some light on what's going on.

I realize this is a long post, thanks for reading.

That is exactly what some people do. They "camp" the guild stores and then buy them out and sell the items on the AH. It's extremely hard to compete with them.

I was told guild stock is influenced by regional influence. So...maybe that had something to do with the low supply. Lord knows Bastok is almost always in last as it is anyway.

You're trying for bronze? Maybe you can desynth some. :/

Alot of guild items are only available in limit number. Take for example, arrowwood lumber. Everyone know that the guild sells for 1/4 as much as the AH does, but here's the catch, THE GUILD SELL only 2-3 stacks each day. If everyone buy arrowwood lumber at guild in unlimit supply, the market would be alot different. Hence, either they craft lumber from loggs or buy from AH.

Samething with bronze ingots. If you ever camped a guild (any guild). Reason is simple, NO ONE sell these ingots back to the Guild. They usually sell it on AH or use it in their crafting. Hence the suppy are very limited. You will find that alot of other CRAFTERS camp the guild as well and by the first hour, typically all the items that are only available in limited supply will be sold out. This is even worse with those items that are needed by power crafters and can take them through several levels.

I suggest you take out a day and craft your own bronze ingots, I'm sure you can buy ores from there in almost unlimit supply. That's what most crafters eventually have to do, or put up with AH price. There isn't any conspiracy going on here, nor anyone trying to make a buck at your expense, if they are, they're not making much money cause of the fact that guild only sell a few stacks to them at most.

This is very common at all guilds. Each guild has one or two items that they sell in very limited supply that are used in a lot of synths and many players (not gil sellers) camp the guilds to buy them (to sell or use).

I wouldn't go calling GMs about this. It's a supply and demand element that was designed in the game, not an exploit.
