Thanks for cheering us on Sioux, awesome pics. ^_^ Blood/Steel aren't hard, but they are big and squishy and fun to fight. The only way they're hard is when they decide to pull Great Bleat out of a hat over and over, and I've killed them 20+ times and only seen them go nuts with it twice. Namf and I coulda duo'd, was nice of people to come speed things along though. I'm surprised with all of Namf's kiting and Cure III/IVs on himself, then Benediction, that my voke pulled it off of him.
Anyways Blood/Steel move at Carnage Elegy'd speed even without being debuffed and don't hit melee classes particularly hard even with Mighty Strikes up half the time. Blood critted me that fight for like 90ish, amusing since exp mobs crit me for 250+. As said already, only an issue if they spam Great Bleat and they're usually very kind about that.
In all the times I've killed them I've seen shield drop one time. I never expect it and don't really fight them anticipating a payday, just do it for fun. Big squishy rams.
The first time I ever killed Blood/Steel was a huge milestone for me, considering they were, long ago, the strongest mobs in the game. They've long been eclipsed and the level cap raised several times since then, but still.
