The Death of Bloodtear Baldurf...with pics.Follow

I came upon Mr. Bloodtear Baldurf today in La Theine.

He spawned right in front of me; I was excited at first, hey, it's a ram. Then I got closer, and saw the name above the ram's head.

Ooooh, crap.
Now, at this point I did a shout...Bloodtear has spawned. My LS mate Hitokiribatousi was in Jeuno, so I told him over the LS to shout there also.
A Japanese Taru player came running and tried to take him; I knew he would probably kill her, so I healed her up, and Bloodtear didn't like that. He turned around, and in three hits I had deleveled to 51. ; ;

But hey, what a way to go.

Before long, Zalverick came by and Raised me, bless his WHM soul, and not long after that Namfoodle, of the Oribit LS, arrived and got Bloodtear claimed.
He kited him for a little while, before his LS mate Luminaire arrived, threw on Utsusemi, and voked the big ram. Not long after this, the rest of Oribit arrived and did Bloodtear in. >:)

Sorry Invoky! I didn't think you were on! What's fun about grabbing that guy was that i got knocked down to about 15 hp 2 or 3 times, ran out of mp then bennedicition'd and Lumi came in and provoked and it still worked! thank god for small miracles!

We didn't get anything but junk though. ><;;;

Steelfleece spawned yesterday also. A couple members of my LS got killed by him.

Very nice pics. I had the luxury of swinging my dagger at him once. I think I was around level 30-40ish THF.

I used to farm Rams quite a bit, and everytime I saw this guy I would try and think of who to tell. One time in the Jungle I was in a party with and we had a bodyguard by the name of Kiam.

He was the highest level player I knew at the time so I would send him /tells when Bloodtear was up. It was amazing. He quickly assembled a party, tele-Hollad and said that I should stick around and watch the show. I remeber that it was a party of 6, pld, drg(kiam), thf, mages, etc. It was the first time that I had seen a higher level THF in action. I was so stoked. The 2nd time I saw him, I sent Kiam a /tell, and I was invited to join in the action.

/sigh... Good times.

Man, this thread brings back memories of the first time I tanked and killed Bloodtear. I was so excited. I'd really like to go back again and kill him again for fun. ^^

Heh. I meant that more in the way of, "why didn't you tell anthoer LS of the spawn?"

Maybe I ran into the wrong members of Oribit (it appears that I definitely did, seeing as Invoky and Nam are both in Oribit) but I had a very bad experience guiding on a Promyvion with some of the Oribit members. *shrugs*

Ok, then mainly 'cause I myself am in Oribit and my main LS, ApocInc, didn't have its high levels on at that moment, that's why. ^^; I know a few people from Averyl, but I don't think they were on at that time either.

As is the case with any large LS like Oribit, there will people you do like, some you don't, and some that were just having a really bad day and not putting on their best face. ;) I haven't even met everyone who carries an Oribit pearl, there are a lot of members. o.O

I just fought him with Ishido and Henge from my Linkshell along with some others that Ishido was in a skill up party with. He took a while but it was a lot of fun! ^^ And I have a spiffy title. I've always wanted to fight him since I first saw him spawn when I was a lower level. I feel all accomplished now.
