I can't win for losing. So tonight, I'd decided to start up mining Ifrit's Cauldron, again, since I hadn't in a while. WEll, I get there, find it relatively uncamped, find some spawn points easy. But there's a BST there. Said BST just happens to like fighting near me. Fighting bombs near me, no less. And they are very prone to exploding. And generally, when they explode, my stoneskin has just gone down and can't recast. So I'm hit. For 924 points of damage. Which is the exact amount of life I have. So I'm, in essence, one-shotted.

It wouldn't be so bad, if the BST-in-question had the common decency to raise me. It's not such a hard thing to do, espcially when said BST easily had 150mp. I've seen him XPing there before, and know for a fact he had a serket ring and an astral. :/

I have no clue where I'm going with this. I just felt like ********* Ignore me.

He's fighting a bomb and you decide to walk right past him. That was smart.

However, if he was literally fighting the bombs next to you, which I can't see why, then that's very rude of him.

Probly to avoid adds, ifrit consists of a series of small tunnels where mobs and the mining points happen to be.

No. I'm mining a point. There are bombs near by. BST comes up with his pet, engages a bomb. BST retreats a safe distance away from the bomb. I'm mid-swing with pickaxe. Almost as soon as the bomb is engaged, it self destructs. I'm wearing pithy little level 1 armor with less defence than paper. I have no fire resistence. Bomb goes boom. I go boom too. If I had just happened to be walking by a BST who was fighting a bomb somewhere in some open area and got exploded on, I wouldn't mind. It would've been my fault entirely. But this BST was making his pet fight right on top of me. That's just plain inconsiderate.

Ok man, BOMB aggro magic and sight and are everywhere, in Ifrit there's not that much space to manuever around. Its a series of Tunnel going in circle leading either to a nice lava pit or to an open space with lots of mobs where you can go to other tunnels. The tunnels are most likely where he be exping because there are 1 or 2 bomb spawn per end of each tunnel. If your mining points happen to be the logical place to fight then I'm sorry but its unfortunate. Now if said Beast MPK you then come whacked away at your mining point with a pickaxe, then he's an *** and its a whole different story. If you're in the way while he's Exping, can't fault him if you get hurt.

correct, its unfortunate, but if it was a party of people xping, would you expect them to move or stop if a mining point happened to be in their camp? as bowser said there arent many safe areas to sit in ifrit's.

i just think that many players don't respect bst's like they would normal xp parties. and that is too bad.

but he didn't even raise....why not have the common courtesy to raise, he knows no one else is gonna do it lol, even if he doesn't feel guilty, him fighting the bomb was partially the cause of the miners death.

I have the utmost of respect for Beastmasters, being an aspiring BST myself. But the current area I was in was wide enough for both of us to be there no sweat. It was in an area with only one bomb pop. The BST could have had no problem whatsoever having his pet engaging the mob, moving to a safe distance, using heel, and having the fight continue at a safe distance for the both of us. It was inconsiderate what he did, especially given that I had already been mining that point for some time before he even got there.
