I watched my second ballista match last night. Theo and Noxx were there and we were having fun messing around with all the dead high lvls :)

Anyway, I think it would be really fun to have a Ballista with a bunch of people from Alla. There has to be someone on these boards we'd all like to take a shot at **in a nice friendly competition sort of way**. Just a thought, I figured I'd put it out, lemme know if anyone is interested.

Edit: Added the "it" between "put" and "out" because well...yeah...

Ah yes that was my exact plan of action. I sneak up from behind and silence the mages and then whap them with my hammer. I would use my light/dark staffs but I don't want to scratch the beads. :)

I'd like to come for a game of Ballista. But, it'd have to be either a 50 cap or a 30 cap. I don't feel like buying a level 37 GK, but I do have some equips for ~30. :P

This would be a grand idea. I've watched a level 60 cap Ballista match. Pretty intense stuff! I tried to join in on a level 30 cap match, but only three other people showed up... the match was cancelled : /

I'm a newbie to Ballista, but I'm totally up for it. I played on PK servers in EQ, and I started playing FFXI partly because I thought Ballista was a creative and civilized form of PvP.

Let's play!

Yes Gudan does own but only when whm get Hexa strike, which is pretty high level weapon skill. He build up tp and can pretty much one shot anyone in yellow health. Gudan even have a screen shot of him killing most of the melee in Archdominus as his forum signature.

Also tip for mages, please go with full stack of poison potion and echo drops other wise you're a liability to your team.

And 1 vs 1 bard matches will last forever, have been proven.

I'm definitely down for Ballista. One-hitting mages will be fun as hell. Yekan, your death is assured. :P

Anyway, I'd have the preferance of playing in 40 or 50 cap (once I hit 50, of course >.>) just because I have more equip for those levels. (50 cap will see me using a Musketeer's gun and Silver Bullets, muahahaha.) I'd also prefer to have it be a Windurst v Bastok match, so I could have my WHM with me. :P

Back then during trials you can only play on your country, meaning to play ballista you have to wait for the match with your country in it. In the official ballista right now, after a certain hour, and the team are not ballance you have the option of entering in any country you want.

I'm down for any ballista hehe, my gears don't change much. Bards and blmgs are the most annoying players in ballista and will make you go crazy. But they also give you the most points cause they die pretty easy. White mages and bard before hexastrike or spirit within/evisceration = petra fodders.

I'm down with doing some Ballista at some point. I know other members of KoR have been itching to do this as well.

Noxx, in order to get your license, go over to Ranperre's Gate in North Sandy. You'll see a white haired Elvaan with reddish armor. Talk to that guy to start the whole deal. Having an airpass makes this job much easier (still can't believe I did this all on foot back when I did it. what a pain in the *** ><).

Basically, you talk to the Elvaan, the go to the other nations, talk to people that he tells you to talk to there. These people are in the gov't sections of the nations. The Galka you have to talk to is in the Metalworks, in that room that is between the two elevators on the second floor. The Mithra you need to talk to in Windy is in the room in Heaven's Tower with all the Tarus sitting behind a counter. Talking to these two people allows you to go speak with the heads of state, who clear you to enter Conflict. Once the head of state has cleared you, you must talk to the contacts again to deliver letters to them, per the Elvaan in Sandy's request.

Once that is done, return to the Elvaan at Ranperre's Gate and speak to him, and you should get your Ballista license. Or he might ship you off to the castle to speak to the King to get it. I can't remember, but just follow what he says and you'll be fine.

Sorry I can't remember the names of the NPCs, but I did this a while ago. ><
